EDIT: Don't pay attention to lines.
Cap is suppose to go up next year to. We haev plenty of room. I am not big on DL but he has done a good job managing the cap.
They still have the cap room to go after Parise...

The 2012-13 salary cap over the summer is rumored to be around $69M. Not sure what is to happen with the salary cap though with the CBA set to expire on September 15, 2012.
God Im happy he resigned for 3.5, been great to have him in LA
Im happy to have him back as well. Its guarantees stability on our defense for next year too. Since Doughty, Mitchell, Scuderi, Matt Greene, Voynov and Martinez are all under contract. With Johnson gone and possibly Mitchell leaving it would have been a tough hole.
I just wish it was 3.0 a year. But its all good whats 500,000 between friends haha
Great deal.
I would liek to see Greene moved in the offseason so that there is room for a young d-man.
I have ZERO comprehension when tards like to suggest trading Greene and inserting a young D.
Not that Jack was the most punishing defenseman we had, but now without him Greene is really the only D that is tough around the D.
He's a badass 5/6 D and spends a ton of time on the penalty kill sacrificing his body at every turn.
The guy is a warrior and a leader on this team.
Not to pull the "I have played hockey all my life and it's clear that you haven't ever laced up a pair of rental skates so I know more than hockey than you!" card, but people who think we need to dump Greene have ZERO freakin' clue.
Greene can be frustrating but you need a physical presence back there and Greene does the job. His work on the PK shouldn't be forgotten either, blocking shots with his face and all

I would really like to see a bag of pucks come back for one of these just to send a message.... Plus, it would be fun trivia. Or maybe just a gift certificate to IHOP....
