Hate Torts's obession with Bickel. Guy just isn't very good.
well for some reason Rangers management thinks he is better than Erixon at the moment since Erixon hasnt been called up lately Bickel sticks up for teammates other than that kinda useless. reminds me of a more skilled Dale Purinton
It would make me a lot more comfortable if Torts didn't keep throwing Biron out there against our biggest rivals (Isles, Devils). Those should be Henrik games every time, IMO.
yeah i feel the same...i'm fine with biron...but when it comes to divisional rival games, put in your best players!!!
better show up this game and for the love of god close that massive five-hole of his... Apparently the UN is deciding if Biron's five-hole should be considered a new continent

Erixon is a future piece that needs to develop before he's permanent. Bickel adds grit and is a good temporary option.

I think it has more to do with the Rangers thinking that Erixon can be a big part of this team for next year. Bickel is a place-holder. The only reason to bring up Erixon now would be if the team thought he'd contribute in the playoffs. Once the post-season hits, you won't see Bickel, and you'll only see a little bit of Eminger/Stralman. Torts is going to ride McD, Girardi, Staal and MDZ into the ground (as he should--they are the best four, and they can handle it). If one of those four picked up a long-term injury, I think you'd see Erixon up here quicker than you could blink.

I haven't missed many CT Whale games this year... he need development time, physically and confidence-wise. He still isn't strong enough by AHL standard, strength-mass-maturity still needed.

I don't have a problem with Biron tonight. Just hope he, and the team for that matter, are on their game tonight. Isles are gonna come out fast. But we always get up for these divisional games, so I have no doubt we will win.
Why not Hank tonight and Biron against Buffalo tomorrow?
Another decision I completely disagree with.
This is something that every will always have a problem with (no disrespect to you RF4life...just picked you post) until the day Marty retires or signs with someone else.
Guys...Marty is a BACKUP...his job is to play less games than Hank. And because of that fact HE ISN'T GOING TO PLAY AS WELL. His 5 hole is his weakness.
Defense is the key. Our offense has to score. Period. Have some faith guys...
Repeat after me...February and 7 points over Boston.
I see a lot of parallels... but in my opinion, yes.
JUST IN: The UN has set forth resolution 1943 declaring Martin Biron's 5-hole a continent, citing the large area covered qualifies for it to become a separate entity from North America. Russia and China expected to veto... LOL (j/k)

It's not that. Marty to me is a solid backup and one of the best in the league IMO. It's just that starting Hank tonight and Biron tomorrow would be the better situation and the career numbers prove it. Hell, hope we win both games anyways cause that's all I care about lol.

I'm really astonished how short people are selling Erixon. We do realize that he only turns twenty-one years old today. That's right, he couldn't legally buy alcohol until this morning. That's two years younger than McDonagh, for frame of reference. Yes, he didn't step right into the NHL lineup as a twenty year old (which notably, not even McDonagh accomplished), but his upside is still huge.

You, my dear friend, are a realist. LOL.
I would also have to imagine that Torts is throwing him back out there to rebound off the Hawks game...something I didn't even think about.
