Sadly, there'e a good chance the Leafs miss the playoffs again,the smart move would be to try and shed overpriced players such as Komi, Connelly, Armstrong, Lombardi for low draft picks. I'd trade Grabbo, as a impending UFA, he's probably looking at crazy money, especially after the Hemsky/Ruutu signings, and personally, I don't think he's worth more than 4.5 over 2 years, so trade him now, get a good return while you can. IF, and only IF a overpayment is offered, trade 1 of our starting D, Leafs have too many D men pushing to make the team, they need to trade defence for help up front, this could wait for the off season if a overpayment isn't offered by the trade deadline. After the season's over, I think new ownership should seriously consider replacing Burke, I believe his ego is a huge problem, his misplaced loyalty to Wilson shows poor judgement, his Free Agent signings have been a bust, his trades have been pretty good, but has taken on huge salaries in lieu of shedding junk. Personally I think his time is done, I'd consider promoting Rick Dudley into the GM position, he's already in Leaf management, has a great eye for talent, and is probably the best option going forward without a total management overhaul, might lose Nonis, but he's gone to a GM job himself when his contract expires anyways.
