I'm still baffled at why the Kings didn't bring Tambs back up (and yes I seen his games with the Kings). The whole point of Manchester is to fill gaps when need be. The fine print of that........is it only applies to lines 3 and 4. Same sitch happened in our last NHL season. Demitra, Frolov, and Roenick.....two of them still down, so why not give the guy a crack again.........especially for confidence.
Congrats to them anyways. Grebs still needs ton of work though.
for grebs to get the nod, there's gotta be a great deal of management input into the process, because as everyone has now figured out, he sucks.
I don't disagree with the sucks part, but after reading this thread this morning, it got me thinking: who from the Monarchs is actually available to play for the Planet USA team?
Clarke, Noah LW LaVerne, CA
Grebeshkov, Denis D Yaroslavl, Russia
Kanko, Petr LW Pribram, Czech Rep.
Murphy, Ryan RW Rumson, NJ
Nolan, Doug D Quincy, MA
Pushkarev, Konstantin LW Ust. Kamenogorst, KZ
Tukonen, Lauri RW Hyvinkaa, Finland
Werner, Eric D Grosse Pointe Woods, MI
From this list, the only ones I'd personally think would be the correct choice would be Push or Tuk, and I'd pick Tuk because I just think he's an all around better team player. But factor this into the equation: What if the team was already flush with forwards and the only choice was a defenseman? Who would you pick now: Nolan, Werner or Grebs? Nolan is an oldie vet, Werner hasn't played with us enough, and...
I think the obvious choice here is, unfortunately, Grebs. I'll bet this is why he made it over the others.
