Tomas Plekanec to Nashville?

I'm just curious, what would it take to get Tomas Plekanec from Montreal? I think this would be the center Nashville would be looking for.

How about David Desharnais instead?

Problem is that Plekanec is part of the Habs core. Habs are not in a blow it up mode but rather a re-tool mode one would think. I can't see the Habs trading Plekanec at this stage unless its an offer they can't pass up.

We are terrible trading partners because he is our main pivot (and at best an elite 2nd liner) and we would only deal pleks in a package to get an elite first line pivot...

seriously at this point its either overpayment for pleks or an upgrade to first line center therefore we don't make good partners with nashville

Heh, Colin Wilson + Nashville's 1st and Radulov's rights for TP + AK + a conditional 2nd if Radulov comes back. (Sarcastic but semi-serious.)

I think if it's a serious offer and the habs are interested it has a first round pick and Jon Blum, and maybe a third round pick with plek going the other way

DONE! Throw in a lower pick and Nashville can have 8 picks all after the 4th round LOL!

Change Wilson to Blum or Ellis and we'll consider it. Still don't know if Montreal does this until they get a better idea if Eller can be a top-6 forward. At any rate, Montreal isn't prepared to rebuild, so its unlikely Pleks gets traded for futures.

ROFL lets draw this **** up then,

I like MTL's future D with that trade, lots of talent and size on the backend

Subban, Bealieu, Tinordi, Blum, Emelin, thats a lot of strength and talent right there and protecting carey price is always a good thing

This is one deal i would accept as a Habs fan.
Actually i was gonna post that Wilson would have to come back on any Plaks deal.
Lets get this one done.
Helps Nash right away and hspeeds up our rebuild.

Rather have Wilson than Blum and there's also a chance that we get radulov in this proposal.

Colin Wilson + Nashville's 1st and Radulov's rights for TP + AK + a conditional 2nd if Radulov comes back.
Wilson is 22 -6'1 and say 200 lbs and replaces Pleks at center.

Also this could lead to a deal where Montreal If they lose the lottery, could trade their pick and NSH's 1st for the 1st overall and CBJ would be in position to draft Murray and possibly a goalie (Subban?)

Wilson + Radulov's rights + conditional 2014 1st round draft pick if Radulov doesn't come back to NA in the next two seasons for Plekanec.

But we lose Pleks... and few teams trade away a potential franchise player. The top-2 picks are the only ones with franchise potential according to the scouts.

Don't make me hurt you.

We're not trading down.

I'd rather have Wilson then Blum also but I think it would end up having to be choice between Radulov or the 1st.

I think Erat/Pleks/AK would be an awesome line. I'd prefer it on the Habs but c'est la vie.

If there was a really, but really big name UFA Center this summer, I'd really consider trading Plekanec.

As for Desharnais, well, you dont trade guys on pace for 60pts who are on a 800K contract for another season...

How is this different from Nashville trading Radulov.

Is Colin Wilson a centre ?

Though, I don't think Montreal is in total rebuild. Least I hope not.
