If Berglund and Stewart continue to play like this, there is no point in making a deal at the deadline.

Wheeler seems to shot it from anywhere on the ice.

LOL, outshot 16 to 6, but we have a 2-0 lead, I'll take it.

Prettiest goal the Blues have scored all year. What a pass by Berglund.

I like the line change ups:
Andy Mac - Backes - Stewart
Perron - Berglund - Oshie

Love Sobotka but he doesn't belong in the top 6. Stewart has always seemed most effective next to Backes. Ditto with Berglund and Oshie.

Edit: NVM doesn't look like a permanent change

What are you talking about? Trade them when they've got their highest value.

But seriously, if they keep playing like this and when Steen comes back, we'll be quite troublesome in the playoffs.

Jets are a good team, we're up 2-0 but I haven't seen a team take it to us like that in the first period in quite some time. We normally own the 1st period.

Weird period. I thought the Blues looked pretty sloppy overall, but they did a good job of burying their chances when they got them. It's usually the other way around; outshoot the opposition but don't take advantage of chances. Either way, they better tighten up in the second or Winnipeg is going to get on the scoreboard sooner or later.

That's the most comfortable I've probably ever felt watching my team get outshot 16-6. Most of the Jets' shots are the easy saves from the outside (though they've had a few good scoring chances from dangerous areas) and the Blues are playing a very simple game. Get the puck out, get it into Winnipeg's zone and generate opportunism with hits.

Chris Porter was awesome that period. Great shift with about 5min to play. I hope they keep him.

Oshie hitting everything. Berglund owed Perron that pretty pass after smacking his jaw with his stick. Disagree that Huskins has been bad. It's Shattenkirk who is getting danced and Carlo has been a flat out weak link. Carlo Weakalinkovo. Polak is also dicey but his speed and power makes up for it. Jackman playing great. Halak looks sharp. Backes isn't hurt.

Bufflin is weak. Wheeler is impressive. Kane is fast. Jets wanna use their speed and to some degree the Blues D are backing in but they're doing a good job making it hard for the Jets to get speed. That was an energy home emotion first period and has to be deflating in the locker room for them down 2. One more goal and we're in the 28-0-0 zone.

I love Stewart when he plays like today!

supporter of the "trade-Stewart-party" earlier but when he`s on he`s one of my favs for sure!

Most commentators do. Oshie plays a game that's hard not to love, gives everything he has on every shift and skill to go along with it.

Also, Blake Wheeler has one of the filthiest shots in the NHL. I remember last year (or was it 2 years ago, I know he was with Boston at the time) when he had that shorty against us where he dangled past 2 of our defenders.

The Jets are doing a good job using there speed to break into our zone and generate chances but our Blues are doing a good job keep "most" of the shots to the outside and sweeping out the rebounds.

Berglund is going to explode soon, IMO he has been the best player on the ice our last 5 games and he is just not getting rewarded for it. Once he nets one I got a feeling he is going to go on a tear.

Perronha goal. He helps steal the faceoff back and then scores it

Legit #1 line when Stewart is playing like he is.

That's some crummy news about Steen. We won't see him in the near future, according to Pang. Sounds grim, but that's the way it goes with concussions.

Steener having trouble with vision

not good, that is one of the more serious symptoms of PCS. Only like 15% of people with concussion have vision issues.
