He's right. Wheeler isn't a physical type of player. He's more of a big-bodied finesse player. Don't let the size fool you his physical play in comparison to his size was one of the things Bruins fans were most bothered about.

Again, I don;t understand the connection between Wheeler and Bourque considering Wheeler signed with the Bruins 4 years ago and then got traded to Atlanta for Peverley.

I think I know enough about Wheeler, thank you very much. I KNOW he's not a power forward type, but he brings a presence down low with speed and size to pressure defensemen, and can muscle his way to loose pucks. Ya, he doesn't hit much or fight, but he can score.

There is no connection between Bourque and Wheeler. I just wish we had a useful player like Wheeler over a quarter of a useful player in Bourque.

Blake Wheeler is yet another former bear. A skilled teddy bear, that is. Similar to Joe Thornton. He would continue the tradition of softness the recent Habs are so proud of.

If we are going to wish for players over the ones we have, I would aim much higher than Blake Wheeler. Also, I don't think Wheeler is any better down low than Bourque is. Wheeler is much more skilled, but hardly any tougher, grittier or better in the corners.

He's much better in board battles and brings it a lot more often than no-show Bourque.

Why I'd wish for Wheeler is because we were inches away from signing him.

No he isn't, not at all. Wheeler is a soft for a 6'5 forward and should win many more battles than he actually does. He's more of a skilled player than anything.

This happened 4 years ago and has no connection with Bourque.

He doesn't lose many, so that point is going nowhere.

I said there was no connection, other than one is good and the other is good every 4 or 5 games.

Maybe we would have our big #1 center+ a top pick like Hall or RNH or Huberdeau if Gauthier would had traded Price instead of Halak...

Halak's mental strenght compensates a lot for the "less" talent he is supposed to have vs Price.

40+ saves nothing to sneeze at regardless of who is in net.

Not one goalie is worth a big #1 center AND a top 3 pick.

Maybe not both. I love Price, but I'd rather have Kopitar + Halak instead of Price + Eller.
