Vinny has a serious hand injury. He might miss the rest of the season.

Oh for the love of God, now that is a trade I would want NO part of.

Plan B should be for someone like Kostitsyn, who won't cost nearly as much, but still fills a need.

Kills any leverage CLB has. If I'm Sather I pull Dubi out of the offer and tell CLB that they can have McI, Thomas. MZA, and a 1st.

Well you would have to assume it was leaked by someone on Nash's team. Why would Columbus want anyone to know about it?

but maybe only for Dubinsky and nothing else.
Yeah..., we could use their combined salary to eliminate the national debt. That would be cool.

Interesting to hear Brooks now mention Miller. Sounds like maybe another plant from management? One more, last, final step? I've said all along that you can swap out Erixon for McI and/or Miller for Thomas and I'm still good with it. But, that's the limit of what I'd be willing to do with the so-called "major pieces".

As I said in the last thread, I'm surprised we haven't heard Miller's name more often. Our last #1 pick, Ohio boy... Makes way too much sense if only for PR reasons.

With that said, my top offer for Nash would be Dubinsky, Miller, Erixon and a pick.
If we're giving up Miller, better downgrade Erixon to McIlrath, imo.

I'd rather keep them both and give up the D-man who's currently behind Staal, McDonagh and MDZ on the LD depth chart.

got this from BJ's board

@EricSmithHockey: Nash's agent may want a deal done but have source that has told me that #CBJ have an asking price and they won't budge off of it."

Portzline summed up on Fan960 that he expects Nash to be gone and everyone wants him to move on. The relationship with him and Howson is not gonna be rekindled....Dubi definitely part of the deal, Stepans name not brought up yet, Hag's has been, one unnamed D-Man included, and picks/prospects.

Exactly. They want this done, and probably even before Monday.

would love it if Chris Botta knew something we don't, and his guess on our top offer was right, and got the deal done:

Brooks mentioned Miller this morning

But then, if general manager Glen Sather is willing to come more than halfway in meeting Columbus’ demands for Nash, and that probably means including Tim Erixon and/or J.T. Miller in the package going the other way, the scorer may be the more readily attainable commodity.
