very true...

I'm a fan of Burke's, and I do think he inherited an absolute mess of a team with little on-ice talent and even less prospect talent, but after 4 years PO's has got to be a valid expectation...

His loyalty to Wilson might be his biggest mistake with this group.

Will be very interesting to see what he does in the next two days... desperation can lead to very risky decisions.

The Leafs GDT is hilarious right now. I actually feel really bad for them.

Leaf fans blaming Burke, Wilson, Reimer, and one even blamed Gionta.. I stopped reading after that so the ACC janitor might have been blamed too..

Sorry but that early season gloating is looking mighty good on the that fanbase right now..

lol the leafs. Only bright spot of the season. Go from top of conference, with Top goal scorer and points in Kessel dominating the NHL stats page, to possibly missing the PO's. Lawl.
I just hope the habs eliminate the Leafs PO chances on last game of the season. Oh Lawd that would be sweet justice.

I'm pretty sure one of them would respectfully disagree.

Man i was laughin my ass out when i saw the other night a thread is Scrivens the solution?

We are pathetic this year but it's fun seeing those bipolar (just like our fans) praising Reimer and Gustavsson than talking about Scrivens haha.

You're probably in the minority.. If they weren't so arrogant and constantly gloating early this season people might feel a little bad for them.. As is I doubt many will feel bad for them and are quite enjoying this ATM..

You actually think it's hilarious and don't feel bad. No point in denying it.

that would be epic... with how bad this season has been for us, it almost seems like we deserve that kind of karmic finish to the season.

At this point it's either get another goalie or try another random one in the organization. It takes a while to establish a goaltender's talent level in sv% terms (~150 games or so). Gustavsson's a career .900 guy. Reimer's down to .914 in his career and not doing well this season.

Maybe you bring up Schrivens and he has a Steve Mason run despite actually sucking (like Steve Mason). Just keep throwing crap at the wall and hope something sticks because what they have isn't working.

Subban trolling the leafs with a nice wrist shot from the point you can see it coming too.

That would be epic trolling and payback time.

I feel bad for them. Leafs got off to a promising start, Lupul-Kessel duo proved to be one of the best in the NHL and the soared to the top of the East. Fans were gloating and they had every right to. Unfortunately, the Lupul-Kessel duo was just about the only thing going for them and now they are experiencing the pains of having sub-par goaltending and absolutely brutal defense.

Those two goals that were showcased on Coach's Corner though... Brutal. The goaltender has to have both of those.

their mess the laffs have with goaltending is Burke s fault. Everyone was saying that they should get a veteran to play with Reimer. But no Burke said he like his goaltending. He has been wrong about goalie s since he arrived 4 years ago

The Leafs are the only team in the NHL without anyone from Ontario on their roster.

Burke and goaltending is probably the weakest part of his management (that or his obsession with toughness). He didn't do anything about Cloutier in Vancouver when it was painfully obvious they needed at least a 1B guy. You're right that he should have gotten another goaltender with Gustavsson not looking so hot and Reimer still an unknown quantity.

Remember when the Leafs fans thought hey had three NHL calibre goaltenders.

I also remember some Habs "fans" suggesting they'd rather have Reimer than Price earlier this season.

I feel bad for Schenn. I have no idea why he was brought in year 1.

They probably squandered the best talent they drafted for years.
