Even if Tony is a ****** bag... Does anyone actually think for one second Molson would admit Tony was right? It's all politics. Just like how 95% of the time when a player gets traded somewhere they talk about how great the fans are, how much they've wanted to play there, etc etc.

He saved face in December saying that Martin's job wasn't on the line, and a week later he was fired.

Gainey said Carbonneau was his best move as GM, fired a few weeks later.

It's politics. Gauthier will be gone this summer, I'm pretty damn sure of that.

I love how he has no problem making **** up that makes the team look bad, but whenever fans call him out for it on twitter, he blocks them. Even his MISE O JEU picks suck. GTFO.

Gauthier will be gone and it would be nice if TSN would make T.Marinara go away too.

They could pull strings on this deadline day & likely will. Anyone that doesn't think they won't try to get the best available personnel this summer really must be insecure & thinks Montreal is a small dime City.

Of Course Molson won't admit, but man are on leashes, no doubt!

Were 15th(LAST), think about it doubters....

Who says he's making **** up?

Do you believe Molson? Hockey is like any other business or political position, they will always try to save face when addressed by an outside source. The truth will come out in time. "I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman" ring a bell?

I'm not defending Tony, I think he is to the Habs what TMZ is to celebs and it's pathetic. That being said, I believe him in this case. I don't think he should have stirred the pot though.

I'm really disgusted that TSN allows such idiots as Tony Marinaro and Francois Gagnon on during Hab games to discuss the team during the intermissions. It makes me sick to my stomach that 2 morons like those 2 guys are allowed to spread their lies and slander about the team. Most of the things they talk about is negative about the team or players....they hardly ever say anything positive or upbeat....and 90% of the time its not even true...but yet they are allowed to go on national TV and give their very narrow minded opinion that usually does nothing but hurt or attack the team, players or management.

I issued a complaint to the appropriate higher ups on how he still has a job, considering his professionalism on air and how they are now affiliated with TSN. He'll raise some good points some days but other days, he'll have someone challenge him on air and he'll resort to name calling (one instance, called someone "Genius" in a mocking manner) and drop them from the line so the caller cannot rebuttal.

Whether he is right or wrong here, I couldn't care less. His TMZ attitude really annoys me.

Exactly.

Those that can't see it, well... They're in denial.

Fitting I say.

Why should we believe this? Gut feeling? Nobody is going to take Molson at his word but why go the other extreme and believe a conspiracy? Because a guy whose job is to get attention says so?

If anything the Molson only cares about money thing is a reason he's not going to turn the club into his own toy. The Habs are far too profitable to mess around with. This isn't a money sink in an oversaturated market like the Islanders.

I think it says a lot that Biggie's "scoop" was buried during the broadcast of W5 on a Saturday evening. TSN is not even running the story as a headline.

Someone at Bell Media should tell Marinaro that TSN does NOT stand for Tony's Smut Network

So you think Gauthier is going to be around for years to come? After a possible last place finish?

Molson Dry-Molson Dry-Molson Dry.... Gotta pay for all that brass fired still on contract!

Could be worst! At least Montreal is owned by a brewery. Bad economy! People still drink beer... maybe even more!

No, but I think Marinaro is taking a likely true event, that Gauthier doesn't always have the last say and might have been undermined, and spinning a sensationalist story out of it that can't be proven or unproven. Why would Molson want absolute power? He has businesses to run.

That's fine, I know what you mean now. Tony did put his reputation on the line this eve.

We all know the inevitable, changes are coming this summer.

Tony Marinaro is a self-centered; self promoting; I told you so ego-maniac. The howard stern lite routine could've held water if he could back it up. Unfortunately he's got about as much substance as a sheet of rice paper.
