He'd be crazy not to. Adding himself into this lineup instantly puts us in a category with the elite western teams--elite eastern teams as well. Especially when you consider that the rumored offers only touch Wilson and possibly Lindback from the active roster.
I heard the offer is Wilson, Ellis, Lindback, and high picks.
Mother of God
I think Columbus would be stupid not to take the deal, but wondering if he could be had for less than that...
Edit: Also wondering if Nash is saying "No" to Preds. Interesting development and could be one to watch. I have a feeling as late Sunday rolls around Howson will be pressing Nash to add Nashville to the list or accept the deal. IF we don't revoke it and go elsewhere.
I heard nash doesn't have us on the list.. also that offer is not what were offering. its sort of a pick 4 kind of thing.. with wilson , ellis / blum , lindback, picks on the table
Lindback makes way more sense than a dime a dozen minor league dman
It may, but they're already getting a hell of a lot of quality in Wilson, Ellis and the 1st. Laakso could be for AHL depth, as a fill-in guy for the rest of the season, or as another contract cleared for the Preds, for whatever reason.

What other NHL city would name the town after Nash? I hope that it is Blum. I would hate to lose Ellis. Long term Wilson has more upside than Nash, but the Preds want to win this year.
I have heard that Lindback/Blum are possible inter-changing parts to this deal but I have also heard that Columbus is more interested in the Ellis/Laakso trade. I spoke with an insider that pointed out Columbus would be stupid to not take the trade...but in all probability it's Nash who isn't accepting the Team. So take it for what it's worth.
Smith has already caught up to Willy in his rookie season...he'll be an game changer before long and could be that top-3 center that we've always wanted. I think Wilson's getting into his prime but Smith's ceiling looks so much higher than Wilson's right now...the kid is amazing.

I see what you are saying, but to me Wilson has more tools. Size, better in his own end, strength, consistency.
With that said, I really dont want to trade Wilson but Nash is one of the few players id be content trading him for. Ill be upset... But its Nash.
If Poile could pull it off with out getting rid of Willy id be a happy happy feller. Make it happen DP!
This whole Nash situation is fascinating. So many factors at play here.
Who is on Nash's list?
Does Nash expand his list to include Nashville if he wants to get out before the deadline?
Does Howson cave in and trade him to TOR/NYR for less just because Nash refuses anywhere else?
Or does Howson stand his ground if he doesn't get a better offer from NYR/TOR and holds onto Nash until the offseason?
I think it's fair to speculate Nashville has the best offer right now. I can't remember being this excited for the trade deadline since we picked up Foppa. Buckle up ladies and gents and enjoy the ride!
