great win. only negative is i don't understand why laviolette keeps putting simmonds so high in the shootout lineup. he's a garbageman goal scorer not a finesse breakaway player. he did almost score tho. i guess he's just trying to convince him he's a 30-35 goal guy. you don't mind if i talk to myself do you?

Timonen does similar things.

Yahoo usually puts up photos quickly.

This is what it posted so far -- http://sports.yahoo.com/nhl/teams/phi

You can try Getty Images, too, until someone finds the image.

I was stumped watching a 64-1 shot win a horse race today.

I agree. Go with Voracek, Schenn or Couturier before. Now, Read should be in for consideration for first 5.

thanks MSE.

I hate that NHLN doesn't show both HNIC games & After Hours live. I know the Flyers game would be blacked out, but it would be nice to see After Hours with Hartnell.

They don't even play the replay at 2PM on Sunday anymore

Well, you don`t want to make it too easy for Mulder and Sculley to track you.

Oh, and I was really happy to see Voracek put that goal away. His lack of finish lately has been alarming, and I've been critical. He's put in the work, it's good to see him get that goal.

I think Coburn began getting angry in that game.

NHL.com credited two goals to Hartnell, so congratulations to him on tying his career high.

They need to clean up some aspects of their game if they are going to beat San Jose. It's been difficult enough in this stretch and couple with the recent history against the Sharks, doesn't bode well if they can't figure out issues starting with the PK.

At least you can always go to the video section of the CBC (Sports) website and watch it.

You didnt miss much. They called Gary Roberts to talk about some lame mid 80s video the flames did.

Then they asked Hartnell about his hair, and his relationship with Lavi.

Basically...it was lame.

As far as the game goes, what a terribly officiated game.

The penalty shot call was terrible.

Therien was overheated in his description. He generally is calm even when he criticizes. Later, the call against Calgary, he also called a joke.

Al Morganti on WIP made a good point in that the refs are calling penalty shots with more frequrncy even under questionable cirumstances. That could be a directive from the main office. He didn't think it was such an outrageous call, however, but he seems to be in the extreme minority in that position.

It was retro night at the Saddledome tonight - good atmosphere.

Bryz padstack was awesome to see - phone books were out!
I was getting chirped pretty hard in my section - but the win was awesome to witness.

Carle was by far the worst D man to watch tonight. Bryz was awful, plain awful. He did come up big in the SO- but man he looked like **** during the game - when the athem was playing and he looked up at himself, I knew he wasn't ready. Called it before the game. He certainly didn't look ready 4 shots and 2 goals. Section I was in were getting on him hard... ha!

Good to see Coburn get one in front of family.

I got to stand up and cheer tonight which was awesome. Waited almost 1.5 games to do it!

It was horrid. It was a stick check...call a 2 min slash. I guess in real time it may have looked worse on the ice to the refs. They missed the TERRIBLE high stick on Mez in the first, and someone got hauled down on our 2nd PP, like headlock style. Awful. I'm sure the flames had issues too.

The entire team was flat for the first 10 minutes. They got burned.

Not really sure how he gets "blame" for a breakaway and a PS goal. He settled down (granted team carried the play in big spurts) after that in regulation.

Giroux ran a pretty good interference route on Iginla streaking towards the net for a pass in OT and looked back at the ref 2-3 times as the play went the other way.
