Love how Torts tries to justify not giving WW playing time by essentially saying that he was replaced by Mitchell. Really Torts? Last time I checked WW > Mitchell when it comes to being a skill player. **** the "defensive responsibility:" sometimes you have to sacrifice it for skill.

Wish Mitchell would be replaced already.

C'est la vie.

His last tweets actually make me kind of feel bad for him.

Florida is taking on so many talented guys who'd teams gave up on them. It's almost a movie plot. Good luck to Wolski, finally free to actually play hockey.

Pretty sure he's about to outscore everyone on the Rangers 3rd and 4th lines.

I'm a little upset that WW wasn't given more of a chance. Sounds like he really worked hard in the off-season.

On another note, how the hell did he get down to Raleigh for that game so quickly? Very impressive. We could use that kind of speed.

So he makes a lot of money playing the game. Since when does that mean he's never entitled to feel discontent? Most hockey players love the game. If they're not playing hockey, they're not happy.

I guess he doesn't have a right to feel bad when he doesn't get to play, or when the coach calls him out for spending too much time in the tub, when in reality he is suffering from a pretty serious groin injury.

Scored tonight. Game tying goal with less than 2 minutes left.

Good for WW. No ill-will.

Hope he lights it up - we were never going to use him, but we got a decent return given the circumstances. If he succeeds going forward, good on him.

(EDIT: for the record, I still stand by my comparison of him and Dubi last spring.)

Very happy. Don't know who the **** Mike Vernace is, but we got a 3rd round pick in '13 for him. Nice.

Sucks that Torts let never gave him a shot. He could've really helped this team with his SKILL something that we lack.

Was a real class guy. Although he wasn't playing he still hung out with the other Rangers and was proud to be on the team. Never complained about not getting to play even though he'd be playing on any other NHL team, and thanked the Rangers for the opportunity to play for them on Twitter today.

How Torts held MITCHELL on the team over Wojtek is beyond me.

I agree with much of what you say. But WW doesn't really play big. I think Torts likes Mitchell because he goes into corners and uses his body. Certainly WW is far more talented...but in this system we need guys who can bang against the boards and come away with the puck.

Not the prettiest goal but he must be super happy, what a debut. Awesome guy, wish him the best.

Literally never root for players on other teams unless they were recently Rangers, and until we play Florida, I want to see him do well.

Funny feeling he is going to thrive in Florida but he had no space here

Concur 2nd too much to hope for! Third more than acceptable, + we got this guy Mike Vernace [D].

Skinny on him?

Dunno what else is out there besides Nash but I have a feeling this was just about getting a 3rd and an AHLer for a guy we wouldn't re-sign. Maybe the 3rd is packaged but overall I think it was just a move to get something rather than lose WW for nothing. Plus he handled himself with class all year so im sure management wanted to do him a solid...don't want a ton of disgruntled forgotten dudes walkin around.

How could you not see that was meant ironical?
Of course I fealt bad for WW,not playing. And think Torts is a fool playing all that grit before talent.
Ok NYR are sucsessful when it comes to points, but a boring team to watch.
Of cource players will play. They loose marketvalue if they sit all the time, and WW is in a contract year.
I wich him the best in Florida.

But again,I would have taken his place for half the sallary, only thing is,I`m not an atlethe.

That is almost every player on this team, how many muckers and grinders do you want on the club?
