That seems like a pretty volatile thing to say about the team your brother plays for. I bet it gets deleted if it picks up media traction.
Yep. Agree or disagree with him, total amateur thing to do, particularly when the team your talking about is the Leafs. I'd be pissed if I was Armstrong.
I like Armstrong very much as a player. Under Wilson his confidence has been destroyed, the same way he has done it to Schenn, Kadri, the Monster, etc. What this team needs is 10 players with the heart of Colby and his grit. Problem is Wilson loves to play turn-the-other-cheek hockey, and he has conned Burke into filling the team with soft, pretty skating players.
"a coach has to know how to motivate his players and you can tell the fire is gone. And then the ACC boos their team off the ice #change"
I agree that the coach should know how to motivate their players but there is no way any player on this team is getting a free pass after this losing slump. The fans had a right to boo, losing 4-0 at one point in one of the most important games of the year. Armstrong after the morning skate was talking about how important this game was to them. To me it didn't seem important to anyone, no sense of urgency...

Armstrong is pretty much as effective injured as he is when he is playing
Particularly in a game against a team you are fighting tooth and nail with to get into the playoffs, at home, with a little over a month left in the season. If you can't motivate yourself to play in a game like that, you shouldn't be playing hockey.
NHL players are human too. Humans need motivating. If things don't go well in the workplace and your boss or supervisor can't show any leadership or come up with a way to solve the issues, should he still have his position? I'd say no.
There is a clear lack of leadership from the coaching staff and team of captains. There needs to be a change. The coach may choose to throw a certain player (Reimer, for example) under the bus, but how long can you blame the players for such a horrid stretch of hockey when the only constant in the past few years of failure has been the coach? It seems that no matter what players are brought in, this team cannot perform at a high level and I would certainly think a coaching change should at least see them play a bit more competitive.
