I generally avoid complaining about refs at all, but that goalie interference call on Kopitar made me mad.

They've had a few really good games this year (Vancouver game sticks out especially for me), but I don't know if they ever had a good streak going. They need to get on a roll and get some wins if they are to make the playoffs.

Nevertheless - great game and I really hope that Brown does not get traded.

I don't want to seem like a killjoy, but did the Hawks even show up?

Everything posted on the internet is true.

Seriously though, great game by all - Carter looked good, Quick was his usual awesome self when he needed to be, and Brown just took over.

How many hats were on the ice when Brown got his 3rd? FSN showed the first few seconds of hats flying, then they never showed "all the hats" on the ice - they kept showing replays and Brown on the bench.

Was it because there was too few??? I needed to see wheelbarrows full of hats.

That's one of the big unanswered questions.

The real question is if that game was an anomaly due to adrenaline and fear or if that performance was what we can expect for the rest of the season. Let's hope that the team responds like they did when Felix Potvin was picked up in 2001.

Awesome game. Nice of them to discount hats, was a mad rush to team LA, and quite the crowd in the hat section.

Anyone else impressed with Chi fans? Quite a few there, but they were all super nice (at least those near me were), and freely admitted how terrible some of those calls were. Heck, I read their board's GDT afterwards and they were the same online. Nice change from the frequent opposing team aholes that visit Staples.

I'll never forget that. Free hat night sponsored by McDonalds pretty much backfired. I don't think very many of those hats made it out of the arena that night. i remember grabbing a handful that didn't make it over the railing and tossing them over.

Skrastins was in that clip too.

I was there that night. So awesome.

Luc also hit some major milestone (I think his 500th as a King?) on a hat night and there was a similar reaction.

3rd or 4th interferance call on Kopitar this season and as far as I can tell none of it was justified.

I think the refs are always on the wrong side of net for that call. They are calling it through the net, goalie, and defender.

They have called Kopitar for about 4 penalties in the last 3 games?

Well that's a good question, but we got 4 goals. Got to start somewhere.

It's a nice win, but it isn't going to mean anything unless we can string together a couple wins. If we lose to Nashville, nobody is going to remember this victory.

I don't know - go check out their GDT - you'd never know they're still in a playoff spot by 5 - 6 points and that they just won the Cup 2 years ago. Quite the whine fest imo.

As a Kings fan, I would GLADLY have had to put up with "they've had to deal with" for the last 5 years.
