Paul Gaustad vs Brandon Prust

The highlight of this fight obviously is the linesman falling down.

Seriously, what a punch by Prust. The slow-mo replay says it all.

Good scrap. Chuckled at the linesman wiping out.

I disagree, however I do not agree with him keeping it on.. Should have done the right thing and took his helmet off..

Gaustad the weenie tough guy wanted the Bruins to make a play for him this deadline then saw the 6'5 tough guy try to push around 5'9 Marchand

good for Prust

Every time I read an opposing team's GDT they talk about how great Gaustad is and how they'd love to have him on their team. The reality is that he's a huge ***** that is only good for face-offs. Hasn't been a physical player since he shredded his shoulder 2 1/2 years ago.

Gaustad is a *****. Fighting with the visor on, the second Prust get is off Gaustad bails. Im not sold on that guy at all.

Decision Prust. A nice, long bout. Goose got clocked a couple of times.

Gaustad got his ass handed to him against Lucic earlier this year. He'll go with his share of heavyweights. Who cares if he got into a post-whistle scrum with Marchand? He'll scrap with anyone. Don't diss the city Paul lives in.

Spare me. That fight was ridiculously on-the-whim. Gaustad had no time to take his bucket off (he usually does in fights). Both players were full speed and they agreed to go. Nothing premeditated about it.

He "bailed" because he was hurt. He got clocked hard by Prust and went straight to the locker room (also finished the game with what appeared to be a shoulder problem).

A punch to the forehead would do that?

I like Gaustad for other things other than fighting. He should mind his own business when it comes to fighting he just is not very good at it.

Case and point against the Bruins earlier this year and not he second game after the fact. The first and actual game proves that.

As much as it pains me to say it, Prust wins.

Yes.............I'm sure Gaustad wanted to fight him over his words about Buffalo

and Lucic handed his *** to him as did McQuaid when I saw that on YT

Like I said Gaustad is a weenie

Gaustad can usually handle himself--as far as fighting goes anyway. I wondered about the visor--thought wtf--but I don't think he had much opportunity to shed it here. Prust gave Lucic a hell of a go last year by the way. He often embarrasses bigger guys. He'll go with anyone--went after Steve MacIntyre a few years ago. Love him on the Rangers and hope we re-sign him as he's UFA after the season. Apparently Slats is talking to his agent. Rangers usually win when he goes with someone early and being in a mini-slump Pruster decided enough was enough. Sorry Paul but wrong place, wrong time.

Love seeing Gaustad get worked over, can't stand him, always tries to act tough after every whistle and in scrums and then does nothing. Hides behind his size all the time.

Prust with the win, definitely one of my favourite players. What's crazy to think about is the wars he had with Rypien (RIP) before. Some amazing displays of skill and heart from those two.

LOL, I love watching Prust fight. One of the toughest guys on our team. Can't wait to see him come playoff time.
