Depends who we believe, it was rumored he wants to go to the Eastern Conference.

I'm not sure anymore. The Devils aren't playing terrible. If it looks like the team is moving in the right direction, Parise might just decide to stick around after all. At least a short deal.

If he hits FA, basically 29 teams will be trying to sign him. Nash will be an after-thought until Parise is signed. Also, since Nash has a limited list of teams he will waive for, and those same teams will undoubtedly all be in on Parise, none of them have to risk Howson trading Nash to a team who has little chance at Parise in the meantime. Not to mention, that's just the two big forwards that may be available.

Either way the Draft/July 1st will be interesting as long as Nash isn't moved tomorrow and Parise hits FA.

Brad Boyes.

Sather loves former first round picks.

Sather loves reclamation projects.

Boyes is a former 30 and 40 goal scorer.

Hes had an awful year, but I think he could bounce back playing with Richards.

He's scored fewer goals than Dubinsky this year, so he can't cost much at all. So someone please tell me why he won't be a Ranger tomorrow?

Better player than David Jones, IMO.

Well the devils were estimated to lose about 13M this year. Not sure they are going to want to lock up $$$$ on Parise when they already owe Kovalchuk 100M. Perhaps he takes a short term deal to stick around for a bit longer...but that's certainly a risk. What happens if he gets injured? Will Brodeur be back...and will he be good enough to win it all again? Zach be 28 this summer. This is the time for his big contract. Not to mention, the new CBA could change the rules on what future contracts can and can't offer. Certainly he could sign long term in Jersey...but I don't think it's better than 50/50. That's just my uneducated guess.

Sather didn't like Howson's initial offer, so Howson raised the price.

Yeah? Who cares when your planning the rest of your life. Congrats man.

Meanwhile this whole thing has been pretty entertaining, At this point it looks like it aint happening. To me that's far from the worst thing in the world.

If we keep Dubi....I just have this feeling in my gut that he's gonna be a difference maker come playoff time.

The price went up? Who said that? All I had heard was that Howson was holding out on his original demands.

At the end of the day, i'm sure everyone in the locker room is going to be glad they are still Rangers. They are going to want to show they belong in the core and are there to stay. Untouchables.

That alone is a plus in all of this.

He is a huge d*****. I mean at least Eklund isn't aggressive. Bob is extremely aggressive on twitter, and is happy to insult others.

Not to mention he spews ****.

Yeah that makes ZERO sense. Why would you start asking for MORE once the teams are reluctant to pay your original price? Is this some sort of new strategy in negotiating that I am unaware of?
