You underestimate, I think, the power of human spite on the part of a lame duck GM in negotiations. He may just be giving a symbolic "**** you" to Sather and Burke.

Ya know that's a very good point, I never thought of it that way ... however by doing so you are seriously alienating yourself from future jobs. That is not a smart strategy for your future.

If we keep Dubi....I just have this feeling in my gut that he's gonna be a difference maker come playoff time.
hehe thanks man. its actually really stressful. way more stressful than anything else. not the wedding stuff, the wedding planning stuff. wish i was rich and could afford to hire someone to take care of this crap lol.

Regarding Nash...if the price is anything more than..

Dubi, Erixon, Miller, #1. no thanks.

To me thats plenty. esp to take on that contract. Dont get me wrong, i WANT nash here badly...but it has to be at a price we are willing to pay.

Nothing about this whole Nash saga makes any sense. You would think however, that for a player who hasn't asked to be traded, and is the future of the franchise, that Nash hasn't forced Howson and the organization to have this done already. This is crazy from all aspects...

Tomorrow is the big day. No one knows anything yet. It's all hearsay. The only people who know what's goin in is Sather and Howson.

Nash could still very well be a Ranger tomorrow.

Congrats Inferno!

Wedding planning. One of Dante's levels of hell. I've actually repressed that memory deep into my brain. Like a child who witnessed a horrific violent crime that their brain couldn't handle. Only hypnosis can make me remember it.

Q: Does anyone think that Rick's production is a direct result of the level of talent he has been working with in CBJ? I mean the dude is seriously talented to the point where I question if he is moved to a team with more talent, not only would he thrive but might dominate?

More or less a recap of the Rangers backing away from the Nash deal, and Strang going on about how she thinks the Rangers should stand pat. Nothing terribly insightful or newsworthy.

Same stuff. Nash not likely to be traded to the Rangers.

Being a finance major I decided to model a quick supply/demand curve for this whole Nash situation...ignore if you've never taken economics...

Asking price is WAY too high and NYR being asked to give up way too much of roster + future. And Rick's agent saying "wants deal done and nothing will change over the summer" .... trying to find out who's in control over this deal and Rick Nash controls everything. Also this will become an ugly situation the longer it plays out (meaning this year and summer)
