And props to Jim O'Brien. He had a great game tonight. Knows his role, and fits in well. Love his compete level and he has enough speed to be effective. He has greatly exceeded my expectations.
Nick "Hogman" Foligno? He's fringe top 6 and he never played on our top 6 tonight...
Well, he's on pace for 47 pts this season. Not saying he is an obvious top-6 forward but that's 2nd line numbers in today's NHL.

Konopka-O'Brien-Neil
Sit Daugavins a bit, he's more than useless right now

The only one I can think of is Kovalev, always been a ridiculous pinger

This
Butler replaced by Zibanejad
Greening replaced by Silfverberg
Daugavins replaced by Greening
Konopka replaced by Regin/O'Brien
Carkner replaced by Borowiecki
And hopefully we can strike big on the UFA market (Suter or Parise). Oh and to attract a UFA D-man, just say : we need someone to play with Erik Karlsson. Players will think big $$$ with the stats they could get.

I can't even skate and I'm pretty sure I would be a 30-point player paired with Karlsson.
Were you... ever sure that Auld deserved the Boston game?
Lehner had only 1 NHL game and a mostly oh hum AHL season under his belt this year so we had few options but it looks like we have another goaltender who can make routine saves and give this team a chance to win against the B's ....
Murray said they will only carry 2 goalies but he was coy as to who they would be. It seems Murray has made no promises to Bishop for this season and they may want to see more of Lehner , so 1 of them will end up in Bingo soon unless Auld is gone tomorrow then obviously both would stay at least until Andy is back. No matter what happens this year with both Bishop and Anderson signed to 1 way contracts next year we know who the Sens goalies will be next season.

Why were your expectations so low, were you reading these boards??

Do we?? Murray was very clear, the guy that performs the best will be in Ottawa.
However I do agree that Bishop has the inside track because of experience and maturity, but I wouldn't count out Robin to quickly, the kid just loves the pressure.
Lehner will be in Bingo next year, he won't waive Bishop the season after he aquired him for a effin 2nd rounder. I think he just was saying the "right" stuff because Lehner is up at the moment.

In all fairness, if you can find me five people who thought Jim O'Brien's career arc was in any way positive at the beginning of last season, I'll bake you a tray of cookies.
That's the fun thing about this sport: guys who look like can't miss studs can fail, and guys who look like career minor leaguers can blossom. It's tough to read, sometimes.
auld hasnt shown he deserves it at all.
coaching staff is smart enough to realise that they should give lehner a chance before deferring to the shiny new toy.

Yes, yes & yes. I'd flip Greening and Foligno, but either way its solid.
Your list also implies we traded Kuba (or should) so we'll get something back. Maybe we send him to Nashville for future considerations and that turns out to be negotiating rights to Suter as soon as they are out (of course we send something else back to complete this idea).

I'm the only guy I believe that had O'Brien on my roster for next season. Most people ridiculed me com d'habitude & gave me these kinds of emotioncons because of it ... I also got a lot of these ... They called O'Brien a bust or a career AHLer. Everybodies an expert you know.
