Yeah, I'd guess that Jones is Murray's target after all the reports of us scouting the Avs and Monsters. The other name that interests me is Kostitsyn. He's one of the only real top 6 talents available out there and he's developed a surprisingly physical game. He'd look good real good with either Spezza or Turris and I could digest a 4Mish contract for his skill level.

Everytime I watch Wild highlights I remember how much Cullen owned for us. Best playoff rental in Sens history

Also this,

Kostitsyn-Spezza-Michalek , I'd like it, but I really doubt they'd trade him to a division rival

Until you saw the price tag. From what is rumored on these boards GK, it's pretty steep.

I wouldn't mind Kostitsyn or Jones(who I prefer) for the right price of course (Something around Butler I wouldn't mind doing)

I wouldn't be too surprised to see something around butler for galiardi kind of a deal tbh.

who is a better palyer galiardi or Jones?

there is a big gap in age and Jones seems like a depth guy like Galiardi seems like he could be a decent playermaker but only had 1 real good year

As an Avs fan I'm a bit puzzled as why the Avs are scouting the Sens so much. Who do you think is Colorado's target?

I'm sure you wouldn't!

However, considering Wojtek FREAKING Wolski got a 3rd, I seriously doubt Butler on his own will get us Jones or Kostitsyn.

Butler is "just a guy" in our top-6 right now. Nothing special. That being said, IF we can get a player like Jones or Kostitties for him, I'll HAPPILY sign off on the deal.

By something around Butler I meant Butler+. But I definitely agree that Butler on his own won't get us Jones or Kostitsyn.

Ah, ok. I thought you meant "something like Butler", not "Some package involving Butler".

One real issue with Gonchar is going to be his no trade clause. Next January he can be moved more easily but this year he'd have to agree to go anywhere.

Can't see him wanting to go to a non-playoff team, but Colorado is close so who knows.

I can't see Colorado being interested in Gonchar. Too much money and too old. Colorado has been targeting players 20-27yrs old in all their recent trades.

I don't think we'll be making a move to be honest and especially not Cowen+Zibby for Stastny like someone mentioned in the thread on your board. That's awful.

Stastny won't be moved. Most likely to be moved out of Colorado are Jones, Winnik, Galiardi, and McLeod. There is a chance one of Elliott or Barrie could be moved but it's pretty unlikely, it would have to be a significant piece coming back to Colorado.
