Nope. He's a RFA after this year. At least that's what Capgeek.com says. They're pretty accurate.

#mnwild defenseman Marco Scandella was the ice for every Wild goal. Two shots, four blocks, assisted on Cullen's 3rd goal in 4 games

His qualifying offer's two-way and $577k, so it's not like they'll have any trouble keeping him.

No I agree. Just stating that he's up as a RFA, so we don't necessarily have him for "A long time".

Basically, we have him for a long time if we want to.

I guess it depends on one's definition of a long time. I consider 5+ years a long time. He might be able to stick around for 2-3 without testing the open market due to UFA. To each their own.

Edit: Misinformed. Though UFA started at 25. Starts at 27 or 7 years played. We'll have him for a while.

^ Head shot, whoever hit the coach will be suspended 3 games. He has to be aware of his stick at all time.

That was Scandella.

It's obvious there will be no suspension. Unfortunate incident.

Russo should start slamming the enter key a little bit more frequently to get those paragraphs fixed.

Interesting read.

From Russos's Blog tonight:

Quote:
The Sharks were in Day 16 of 16-day trip and got stuck in Minnesota because of mechanical problems on their aircraft. They'll fly home tomorrow, lose their day off and have the Flyers sitting there waiting. They're in trouble right now.
Good god. They go 2-6-1 in a 16 day, 9 game road trip from hell, suffering injuries to players and coaches alike, and now their Aircraft breaks down? What voodoo shaman did they piss off?

That is just unbelievable bad luck.

Can someone give som tidbits about Vellieux and Palmieri.
Saw Palmieri got the 2nd star without getting any points. So he must've been pretty good!

Was at the game. The guy with those overpriced glass seats got extremely upset and almost violent when I said that it looked like Scandella got McLellan when he was checked over the boards. As in he was swearing at me and saying it wasn't possible. Somehow I resisted shoving my phone in his face when Russo tweeted exactly what I said happened.

I was more focused on FSN Bingo (my mom and girlfriend were playing too, so I had to explain things), but Veilleux was AWESOME. Exactly where he left off, good speed, tons of energy, very physical, like Clutterbuck was a couple years ago. That I'm sure made life suck for San Jose's defenders.

Palmieri I didn't notice as much but he had an extremely good chance along with I think Veilleux and Rau or something like that?
