Maybe John Klingberg. He is a highly touted D prospect in Dallas, but he's not at the same level of Oleksiak and Larsen.

Ott+Klingberg+Dallas/LA 2nd whichever higher for Schenn
In my opinion Schenn is completely off limits along with Couts.

I'd say throw Glennie in, change Schenn to JvR and you've got a deal. Doubt Dallas does it though.

Robidas could be had. He's a 'utility' Dman. So he really can play alongside anybody. Not sure about a number 2 spot.. He's easily a 3 or a 4 though.

Ott+Robidas+Glennie+2nd (1st if we make it either to the playoffs or past the first round) I don't know how that works with your cap situation so tell me if I'm completely off base here.

The way Ott is portrayed on the Matt Cooke Show on youtube by blogesalming is the way I imagine he is in person.

He comes on at 3:10
If he is anything like that in person he will be more then welcome.

I guess a final thought I had ....

If Dallas could acquire another young defender with Ribeiro since he is rumored to be available, Dallas could consider that a lateral move to replace Larsen and flip him for JVR.

It's a pure wild a** guess, but I know JVR is a GMJN guy meaning he might push hard for him (e.g. Neal for Goligoski).

I don't know if you guys would consider this fair or not ... probably not an overpayment by any stretch of the imagination ... but what about:

To Dallas: James van Riemsdyk, Jody Shelley
To Philadelphia: Steve Ott, Philip Larsen, Dallas 1st

Based on annual cap hits, Phili would be adding $1,045,834. According to Cap Geek, they have just enough space to add that.

My intention was not to offend anyone so if it's bad just chill. Have fun! It's trade deadline day. Don't get worked up over me.

I would want Oleksiak if JVR is going to Dallas.

He would be the only player from dallas i would be intrested in. Oleksiak and a first for JVR though doesnt seem fair though.

Its hard to get full value for jvr right now because of his injury plagued year. It makes more sense to just hang on to him.

Thanks for the opinions. I'm pulling for you guys this year. I love Gross and hope to see him find success with the Flyers.
