Some people are expressing concern about having the brothers back together again, but you have to know Poile sat down with SK74 and discussed it.

Hey guys, Habs fan coming in peace.
I always liked and supported AK, and was annoyed that he was kept on the 3rd and 4th line this year. hopefully he helps you guys out on your playoff run, best of luck!

I wonder how you feel about AK saying he did not want to go to Nashville just a week or so ago.

Actually it does. If player X gets 7 goals in 500 minutes of ice time with minimal PP time... one would logically assume that if he gets 1000 minutes of icetime with ample PP time he'd have at least 14 goals.

No. And here's why.

The more you play the better players you go up against.

You tell me. If you're playing 7 minutes a game against Boullion and Klein and scored 1 goal every 14 minutes do you think you would keep that pace playing against Suter and Weber?

I think what he said was probably more like "I want to stay in Montreal" as opposed to "I don't want to go to Nashville". In any case he's a Pred now, he's on a contract year with a contender. What more motivation does he need?

Did he really say that? What was the context? Did he elaborate at all?

Not saying it is or is not true, but guys can't say they want to leave their current team, even if they do.

Any player currently on a team isn't going to say publicly when asked "Yes, I'd love to go to Nashville and get out of here". Lol. I don't think it had anything to do with Nashville in particular, he was just saying what any player would say if asked that question.

He said both actually, wanting to stay in MTL, and not wanting to go to Nashville.
In french, but that's the title :

Not trying to stir anything, but it just seems a bit weird to me.

It does seem strange that he didn't come over at the Gill trade. I'm really looking forward to having another Kostitsyn in Gold, with hopefully BOTH of them being happy to hear the roar of support in The Bridge. Would you qualify AK as the "better" sniper of the 2? For some reason, I thought he's more of a "dirty goal scorer".

If you're playing with higher quality linemates such as Kessel and getting loads more PP time, yes I would assume that. And not every team has Suter and Weber. Very few do.

Not worried about it. He's here for the next few months at least.

If he plays well here, that likely would mean we would have gone deep in the playoffs. I can't see why he wouldn't want to resign here. Why go back to Montreal - a system that doesn't work for him, to a franchise that isn't a fit, on a team that might have a tough time contending for a year or so. If he still wants to go back to that, so be it.

If he's invisible and makes no impact here, then he can go whereever he wants and we're out a 2nd rounder. No biggie.

Post script to last tweet for those asking; SK74 was being sarcastic and had a smile when he said it.
Someone else is excited.

Will AK fly out and play tonight? Montreal practice was cancelled, and I'm sure the deal was sealed last night, all the formal bs was probably completed today. Maybe he already left Montreal this morning?

Nashville is going deep this year if Poile can grab another top 6 center. So much depth, great defence and great goaltending.

Who else do you guys think is coming to Nashville?
