Andrei Kostitsyn Appreciation Thread.

Hating not necessary , allusions to 2003 what could have been are not welcome.

I will miss you AK , best of luck in Nashville making magic with Sergei.
A fan of yours I will always be CH or not.
Coach ask you to shoot puck , you shoot puck and I like it.

I'm going to miss him, just like I still miss Sergei.

I just realized how depressed Eller must be. His only decent winger, gone.

I'm going to miss him.

Between him and Gill it looks like the Preds are my playoff bandwagon team.

Yeah he was one of my favourite Habs player and I'll miss him in a Habs uniform, like I miss SK. I think those two together will be fire. Its good that they are together again in Nashville, which is, my favourite team in the West.

AK...you truly deserve better than to be doing 5 minutes a game on the 4th line.

I hope you win the stanley cup this year with the predators.

I also really hope (but I dont think it will happen) that we give you an offer in the offseason!

You were my favorite player!

Take care buddy and I hope we cross paths one day in Boustan or somethin!

Thanks for the Kovy-Plekanec-AK46 line.

Spectacular line to watch play.

Put puck net. Score. Puck. Net. Goal.

Thanks for the memories Andrei, I'll miss you on the Habs. I'll fondly remember long range wrist shots the goalie never saw, some really slick playmaking, great quotes and a whole roster of Bruins trying to pick themselves off the ice. Good luck AK

And thanks for my favourite piece of hockey memorabilia:

At least now, we're sure to not have a player willing to cut accross the middle to take screen shots on net.

Will miss him, I'm sure he'll look good when playing for the Nashville Predadiens.

AK was never given the tools he needed to succeed in Montreal. There are players who made a career passing guys like him the puck, but he was always expected to do things he was never really suited to do - pass, skate the puck, dig in the corners. In the high slot there's a very short list of guys who are more lethal.

Good luck Andrei. Hopefully you can find what you need in Nashville.

Lots to complain about and you choose this

Hope Andrei does well. It was time for him to go. I still can't believe he wanted to re-sign with the Habs after all the crap that was dumped on... deserved or not. He just seemed like a soft-spoken guy who was never quite sure what was expected of him.

Since 2007-08 (his first full season) 27 years old Andrei Kostitsyn has always been among our top goal scorers. This season all the guys ahead of him in that department received more, a lot more, PP time than him.

I am really sad to see another home grown talent go away. Especially one who is strong as an oak, has a deadly shot and underrated passing skills. Plus (1) he did show chemistry with Plekanec in the past (and GAWD knows Plekanec badly needs regular wingers!) and (2) he clearly expressed his desire to play in Montreal.

What a terrible trade; if Nashville uses him regularly on the PP, Andrei will give them 30 goals per season. He was badly used by Randy "hail to goons and dump and chase" Cunneyworth.

PS Kostitsyn >>> Bourque
