Kampfer was a 4th round pick. So, basically, Boston picked a defenseman for us and developed him.

Did I miss something? Is Kampfer 5' 7''?
When has anyone been listed as their actual height?

Remember us wishing for Brodin to actually grow another inch or two?

Kampfer's one hit away from being put on the shelf.

Guys that don't count; Coyle, Phillips, Larsson, Brodin, Granlund, Bulmer, and Zucker. Not to mention, we're going to have to replace many of those going out with those coming in because that's a majority of our AHL team along with a few our NHL teams.

Funny how GMCF wanted a prospect + pick for Zanon and then folded like a cheap seat by getting a marginal prospect back.

@8band

Makes me wish he would have folded on Harding. would have been nice to get a pick or something for him and bring up Hackett for the rest of the year.

Prospect + pick > marginal prospect > nothing

What's your problem, do you think he turned down a prospect and a pick on favor of Kampfer?

No, but when a guy like Scott can get a 5th round back it makes me really wonder WTF?

Harding wasn't going to go anywhere.

Anyone who actually has a highlight video on youtube is better than who we gave up.

Looks like he isn't afraid to join the rush and pinch in (that pinch vs the Wild O_O).
I wouldn't be surprised if he joins the Wild just like Palmieri did.

The wild need to stop making bad decisions. Now they will miss the playoffs.

I agree that is odd, but I judging value off of other trades isn't always right. Commodore was traded for conditional 2013 7th rounder, so... I don't know.

John Scott's return is what makes the Zanon deal disappointing.

Zanon had to be worth more than that. I don't think he was worth a 2nd, but you'd think maybe a 3rd. I'd rather have the 3rd or 4th than a redundant prospect.

Commodore is also a shell of what he was. Scott at least is an enforcer. Everyone knew Zanon is a warrior and even though we had outlived his usefulness, he was a tough player that just didn't fit in with the organization.

Mark it down. The dream died when the Wild traded Zanon, not when Bouchard/Lats/Koivu went down.

The Blueline needed to get thrown in a blender big time. The Wild did that. Will it make the team better? Who knows. The point is they needed to change things up and get rid of aging vets who werent meshing with Yeo's system and they did that.

Does anyone really believe, in the depths of their hearts, that this team, as it has been playing the last two months, was a playoff team?

We will see where we go starting Tuesday with the HUGE game we have against the Kings. Potential 4 point game.

From Luedeke:

Quote:
Good skater, can carry the puck effectively + gain o-zone on his own. Undersized so has trouble w big, strong wingers.
Passing:
Quote:
Middle tier- better at moving the puck in transition and in PP distribution than he is defensively. Won't say he's a liability tho

I'm sick of missing the play-offs... I knew the whole time we'd miss them again but I just kept hoping we'd somehow sneak in...

The8bandarmadillo and SoH must be related. Neither of them has anything positive to say.
