They said on TSN that anyone claimed after today cannot play in the playoffs. I think that means there's not going to be much waiver activity from here on in.

FOR A PLAYER TO PLAY FOR A TEAM IN THE PLAYOFFS HE MUST EITHER BE UNDERCONTRACT OR RIGHTS OWNED BY SAID TEAM

It is like August 31st in MLB--players need to be on the the 31st to be able to play in the playoffs

This has nothing to do with waivers though. Or the playoffs for that matter.
