Other Bruin players won't be looking for Turris, they'll be looking over their shoulders for Chris Neil.

I agree that it's not that bad of a hit, thats not my point, its the "big bad bruins" were talking about. They probably think their reputation is on the line if they don't do something.

If Corvo hadn't *****ed so much about the hit I dont think anything would happen, maybe a fight, maybe not. But with him going to the media you know hes *****ing about it 100x as much to his teamates.

I know when I played hockey, you had to fight for a hit like that, no matter the intention. So if Turris gets it out of the way he saves himself the torment later (but I'm down for a line brawl)

Senators coach Paul MacLean said he had no problem with the hit or Phaneuf retaliation.

“That’s the way I used to do it,” said MacLean. “If you have an issue with someone on the ice, that’s why fighting is in the game.

“I thought the play by Foligno was a penalty and I thought the way they settled it was just great.”
Exactly my point, that's old school hockey. This is a mens game, Turris left his feet and hit a guy in the head, so he has to fight for it. You've seen Neil and other players do it countless times, its just the way things go.

Corvo is sounding like a self centered whining prima donna who just broke a nail.

Paul MacLean would want it settled that way as well...

Do you think this would be suspendable as well??

I like seeing stuff like this. Players calling each other out. Hopefully Turris accepts Corvo's challenge and then beats him.

I have nothing against Corvo if he wants to fight Turris. But this whole macho posturing to the media is retarded. What happens on the ice stays on the ice, dumbass.

Hope Turris knocks him on his ass. Maybe he'll learn to finally shut his mouth.

Gotta think Neil is going to teach Turris a couple of tricks in practice before the game.

They should just meet up by the flag poles outside of the TD Garden at 3:30 before the game. The rest of the teams can gather around yelling "fight!" "fight!" "fight!" and once Corvo is done acting like a child they can get back to playing some hockey.

I'm with the folks hoping they just drop the gloves right off the bat. These games down the stretch are too important to be distracted by some guy complaining about a hit. Then again I don't think it is a fair trade-off to have Ottawa's second line center sit out for five minutes in exchange for Joe Corvo.
