Hi I am new to this board and am interested in the progress on the NB kids mentioned , can you give the strenghts of the mentioned players on an individual level
1- Luc Deschenes (Midget AAA)
2- Will Thompson (OHA)
3- Jake Vance (Prep)
4- Matt Paul (Prep)
5- Mitch Robinson (Bantam AAA)
6- Chris Becker (OHA)
7- Jon Cloutier (Bantam AAA)
8- David Comeau (Bantam AAA)
9- Cole Hachey (Bantam AAA)
10- Hugo Robichaud (Bantam AAA)
Haven't seen or heard much from Myers lately so didn't include him on list. Also ross Macdougall (u15) is a smart, crafty player - small though
For defense I would say:

I think Hachey is a great D, big and smart. Macdougall is small but very smart with the puck and makes good decisions.
For goalies:
1-Tristan Meadows
2-Derek Goguen
3-Julien Galloway
4-Guillaume Brideau
Tristan Meadows is in my opinion the best in nb. Bad numbers, but not a good defensive team infront of him. Played U14 and should have made U15, allowed the least amount of goals at the camp. Derek Goguen second, although he is small he plays big and very quick. Galloway lacks technique but is very big and pretty quick. Brideau is very underrated, he's very quick and good rebound control

I agree that Meadows is better than his numbers, not sure if he is the best in NB, see my earlier post.

No way Hachey is number 3 in my book... 6 at best. They are all big other than MacDougall.
I have watched many of these D men play this year for the exception of:

Vance
McDougall
As they are at prep schools, has anyone watched any of them them play this year to see how they are developing , this Myers (High School) kid keeps popping up where is he from and where did he play last year?

All five of those guys were on the NB U15 squad at the ACC last October. I haven't seen them since then. Myers is from Moncton and played BAAA last year. He was a U14 player but elected to drop out of the program for U15, no idea why.

The better question is, why did they leave BAAA?
Thats a good question ,a lot of kids do take the prep school route the only ones that could answer that question would be there family's I was just wondering if anyone had watched them play this winter I guess not.
I see two 98's in the top 10 in NB AAA Bantam Plourde (3) and King(5) are they that good or is the talent pool of 97 forwards that weak.

After the top 10 or 15 97 forwards it drops off considerably.
Dominating is a strong word , have not heard much of this kid before I have not seen him at U-15 or U-14 in the last two years, the Jacob kid is a good player that is playing on a team that scores lots of goals , the tell tale on him will be in Midget next year,he should be good if he grows some.

Young is a good player, and he gets a ton of ice time. I think that team has been running with two lines for some time now. Same with Plourde from Acadia Penn, in the Miramichi tournament he was on all the time. Young is definately a better all around player in my opinion than Plourde, and Plourde will have to learn where the defensive zone is before he gets to midget.
I agree with the previous post, Jacob is playing on a good team that produces lots of goals, you could say that about both Moncton teams.
I think Young did tryout for the U14 but not the 15's.

thanks for the list,I am sure most of these would call ups to fill in for injuries, some might get lots of ice time others very little,I see Robichaud has played 11 games how does he look? he is a big body but from what I remember not much foot speed

I will give my opinion of the top forwards on the list in my opinion
Jacob- very skilled player , great vision and is a good goal when he gets to Midget if he grows he will be a dominate player
Buck-he see's the ice very well and controls the play when on the ice,he play's in both ends of the ice very well.
Theriault- He is a great skater and can put the puck in the net his weaknes is in the defensive zone but that is coachable.
Thompkins-he plays on team that is not very deep on forwards ,very stong skater and controls the game when he is on the ice, he has a great shot and plays very physical , plays both ends of the ice very well.

You are missing a big name on this list - JM LeBlanc from SJ. He is #2 forward in NB after Jacob from Moncton. If I was to pick a #3 in NB this year, I would pick Plourde from Acadian Pen. I saw Plourde play few times and I'm impressed with his game. He is only a 98 but is very calm with the puck, has a solid shot and has above than average hockey sense.
