That's a little different then. Should be a good matchup, i'm gonna give the new lineup 3-5 games though before making judgement.

Maybe yes? maybe no?

From Yahoo:

Ward practiced well on Monday and may play on Tuesday if he still feels well, Chip Alexander of the Raleigh News and Observer reports.

I expect 2 points out of this as well. Two new guys should have the adrenaline pumping through the team. Plus you have the added pressure of 2 scratches working to get back in the lineup. you take a night off, you get scratched. I expect a win vs a terrible team with Justin flippin Peters in net.

per Michael Smith @MSmithCanes

Cam Ward first off the ice, if you needed any other hint that he's starting. Boucher, Peters sticking around.

We lit Peters up for five goals last time we saw them, but it looks like Ward is in tonight.

Yep, I think we can still take them though.

Ok no biggy. He'll be a little rusty. If we come out strong, he'll be pulled by the end of first.

If this season plays out like the last few have I don't think the guys will be taking any more nights off. Seems like each year by the trade deadline the boys put it into the next gear, and go on a tear. Let's hope for more of the same

Columbus is officially eliminated from the playoffs and plays host to Detroit tonight.

St. Louis gets the night off.

We win tonight, coupled with a Detroit loss puts us 2 points back of the Wings.

Huh? They're at 43 points with 19 games left. That's a potential 81 points and the eight place team is at 70. Effectively eliminated, yes! Officially eliminated, not quite yet.

Sportsclubstats says they are gone. I assume its because some of the teams have to play each other, so somebody has to get a win.

I just checked and it says they're chances are zero not that they're eliminated. That site does projections off of statistics and the odds that Columbus could be in the playoffs are so small that even winning all the rest of their games, it's almost impossible.

Really gotta win this if we want a shot at 1st. The odds of making it past round two go up substantially with the division winner seed.

Carolina has been playing very well lately, so don't let their spot in the standings fool you. They have lost in regulation only once this month. They didn't sell their team this deadline either, so they aren't weaker.

We also aren't any stronger. At least y'all got shiny new toys to enjoy. We got an empty stocking from uncle Jim. Good luck Preds fans, but not TOO much luck. Just enough to get us a lottery pick? Please?

BTW how tough is it to get tickets at Bridgestone? One of these days my wife and I are going to have to make the trek to Nashville.

Pretty easy barring divisional games and some random exceptions like the Canucks; I can get upper level tickets on stubhub for like $15 to $25 pretty easily generally.

Very excited to see how this new look lineup will do. Lindback was bound to get a start at some point. 2 PTS!

We have an odd combination of having a very loud and energetic building, which is still normally cheap and easy to get into, despite us averaging 97% capacity this season. It doesn't really seem to all add up, but that's how we roll. You'll have fun.

Heya, Opryland.

Habs fan here. Just wishing you guys luck tonight, and wondering how Gill has been working out so far. Improved your PK at all?

Thanks guys. That sounds about like us when the fans actually have something to cheer for. I promise I won't kidnap Poile to Raleigh.

If any of y'all make it out our way it's usually pretty easy to get tickets for any game that's not a team like the Blackhawks, Penguins, Flyers, Sabres, Bruins, or Rangers (ie a game where large portions of our fanbase, myself included, cheer for their hometown team), although I believe that we've been selling out a bit here lately. There was a pretty good crowd last week for the game against the Ducks.

What are the lines expected to be tonight? Also, I noticed Klein didn't play last night and that Ellis was recalled, was this due to injury/illness or bad play?
