Lombardi may or may not be fired. If we're rooting for things we should be rooting for a change in coaching. The whole staff can't stay, no matter what the circumstances. I like Sutter and I think he's better for some of these guys than TM, but he's too much of the same. The rest of the coaching staff is an unmitigated disaster and should have been buned and surved to the public along with TM.

Dean got his last chance to change direction when Murray was fired. He doesn't get another one. He hitched his wagon to the Sutter train and Dean should be fired along with the entire coaching staff.

I'm guessing that AEG wouldn't let Sutter get his own assistants because they felt he wasn't different enough from Murray to last after this season anyways. Why pay 2 sets of assistants to sit on a beach and collect AEG's money?

I think AEG is going to get rid of Dean and the whole lot if they fail to make the second round.

I don't think AEG would have blocked the trade for Carter even if they are thinking of firing Dean. It was a good hockey trade, not a desperate trade.

If the Kings fall completely out of the playoff picture, Dean could get his walking papers even sooner. Just like in SJ.

The new GM usually cleans house. I don't think it would really matter if Ranford was kept.

I thing people are talking about Stevens and Kompon, at least I am.

Seriously. Firing him would be the dumbest move imaginable.

Unless he's our emergency goalie...I wouldn't mind seeing him go on a short vacation and letting Vachon give Quick some extra instruction... Other than that...I don't want to see him go...

Go Kings!

Also I don't understand why Sutter keep starting Doughty on the 1st pp unit. Voynov is superior in that facet right now, do it Darryl.

I hope I'm wrong though.
I gotta disagree. Missing the playoffs this year would be a fail of epic proportions and should sign DL's walking papers.

BTW...I think this is the first must-win of the season. Lose this one, and the fat-lady's gonna be well into her warm-up.

As much as yesterday's loss was another infuriating offensive failure, I'm not that discouraged; mainly, because it happened against a pitch-perfect defensive system that's been firing on all cylinders for the last couple months. I know, I know...the Kings' troubles lighting the lamp have been so persistent this year that we can't blame anything on a great opposing goaltender or the stingy play of his team, at least not entirely. But if there is an exception, IMO, it's Nashville.

Moreover, I liked the all-around effort last night. And I think tonight will be a better indication of whether or not Carter and the jolt of his acquisition can, in fact, bring this team's offense up to a passable level.
