I thought the consensus on HF was that you guys got the better player in the deal
also love the custom title, Minny fans are now saying what we've been saying for years, but people actually believe them

I believe the Wild do, and happily. We're looking at a player on a similar developmental curve who, at five years younger, is producing at a similar rate with similar TOI and will command much less than $4M a season as an RFA. He would have represented a long-term solution to their PMD problem. Also a home-town guy to boot.

I said from minute one, that Eddy won the Schultz-Gilbert trade.

Never wanted Gilbarf, and his play already confirms that I was correct.

Pancake Penner... it never gets old.

I really want Gilbert to do well and I was very excited about his season this year. I almost felt sorry for the guy watching him this period. He's replaced a team favourite and really **** the bed so far. So much for good first impressions.

Faulk is pretty physical. I would take him over Gilbert.

lol, you will have to talk to Replacement about that, he's one of the only ones that didnt want him traded (for whatever reason).

Cant believe your still going on about this Replacement, pretty sure we got the better player in this trade, even without seeing him play for us yet.

I cant believe the Wild traded for Gilbert AND Foster.

They must be in tank mode.

...

Gilbert isn't a bad player. We all praised him earlier in the season. He's just inconsistent. When he's on, he's a physical PMD who is good defensively. When he's off, he's soft as a pillow, lost in the d-zone and his breakout passes suffer.

LMAO, Gilbarf, havent heard that one yet, i used to call him Tammy Gil-butter, but thats my new favorite nickname for him now, thanks for the laugh.

And even though he has looked terrible tonight, he actually has looked much better this year than he has the past 2 years (just fyi).

I don't know what game you guys are watching. Gilberts playing physical, and just had a nice rush. I think this trade is going to be a big win for Minny.

So is Peckham. Heck, the first few years of Smid were brutal too. Too much puck chasing.

Defensive gong show in Minny. 4-0 Kings. Foster on ice for that last goal... why is he and Randy Jones still in the NHL?

lol, now if we could only get Tambo on the phone to "take Koivu off their hands for Horcoff"...you know, a salary swap, then they could have another Oiler sharpshooter on their PP (and he's awesome at burying the EN goals too).

It was more the first period. Gilbert's D-partner is a non-NHLer, Falk. Gilbert wasn't much better tho.

A d-man is not going to step into a new situation like that and just produce like he hasn't skipped a beat. It will take a while for him to adjust.

Nope, Foster was just a warm body throw-in for the Zids trade. The 2nd round pick was the main thing in that trade.
