Tony asks... would you do Komisarek for Kaberle?
On TSN 990 on Monday, Marinaro was asking callers if they'd trade Komisarek for Kaberle, one for one, this summer?
After thinking about it a little, I think I would. It'd be tough to stop hating Komisarek, but it's been even tougher to start liking Kaberle
Anyway, who would do it? Who wouldn't? Reasons?

Kaberle has a lower cap hit, therefore no.

Kaberle's easier to trade off to a different team than Komo, so no. I would not.
When Kaberle is off his game, he can still make some nice passes
When Komo is off his game he gets into penalty trouble

NO, lower cap hit, same term left, more offensively talented, as good as komisarek on defense (doesn't say much).
why is tony still on the air?

No way I would do that. Both sucks, Komisarek wouldn't add something to defense.
Seriously, there's somebody that would like to have Komisarek version 2008-2009 but WORSE?
People here never stop to amaze me.

We are talking about a defenseman here... not a forward. Kaberle is a pylon and a very, very soft pylon.

Carolina got a second round pick for him.
Don't think TO's been shopping Komo but it would be interesting to see his return.

Kaberle is not only astronomically better offensively, he is also better defensively.
No contest here.

Go check what Zidlicky went for,
Kaberle is a lot better than Zidlicky even with the extra year on his contract.

Who cares what Tony asks. The guy doesn't know anything about hockey.

this is the equivalent of asking whether you would prefer a kick in the crotch or a punch in the face

Leaf fan here. With Liles, Phaneuf, Gardiner we already have 3 primary PMD.
It just wouldn't make sense. And I love Kaberle too.
How is Kaberle doing in Montreal btw?

I ain't no Kaberle fan and I wouldn't even make that trade. Screw Komisarek he can stay in Toronto, he is a terrible hockey player and the only reason he was half decent years ago was because of Markov. I hope Lucic gives him another pounding

let me see... komisarek: higher cap hit, no offense, no defense, takes minor penalties, can 'fight' and he's often a healthy scratch on one of the worst defenses in the league...
really, tough choice...
let me guess, meatballs says he would chose komisarek right?

Can someone please tell me how Kaberle has no value when a guy like Zidlicky can get such a return, Zidlikey is just as bad as Kaberle defensively but has stopped putting up points. Even with the extra year Kaberle>Zidlicky
I actually called the team 990 and brought our Zidlicky and Tony talked about how Kaberle uses a short hockey stick....

I'd rather go off of real news reports instead of making my own speculation.
If I did that, Doughty and Weber are already on their way to wearing Habs jersey's
