No worries, I will be in attendance and the Jets have yet to lose in regulation when I am there. 6-0-1 so far.

Panthers without Versteeg and us with Bogo back sounds nice. Looks like the stars are aligning for a Jets W!

Hopefully both Bogosian and Grant[mod]Clitsome are playing. The less Jones and Flood, the better.

One or the other is usually fine - both together seems to be a bit questionable as a 3rd pairing. Most games, Jones hasn't been a huge liability.

Except that last one.

Looking forward to Bogo being back in, and it would be nice to see Clitsome in a Jets Jersey as well.

Enstrom - Buff
Bogo - Hainsey
Stuart - Clitsome

That'd be OK by me. Ninja edit: I meant Stuart, not Jones. Jet must have gotten to me.

For those who don't get the Free Press, here is what they had about Bogo this morning.

DAILY DAY-TO-DAY UPDATE: Defenceman Zach Bogosian (upper-body injury) continues to practise with the team and, as has been the case over the last few days, will be listed as day-to-day. Once again, he hopes to be in the lineup Thursday against Florida.

"I'll skate today, skate tomorrow and see where Thursday is," said Bogosian prior to Tuesday's optional skate. "I'm shooting for Thursday. Things are feeling good and I'm making forward strides with this injury.

"It's never fun sitting up there (in the press box). You want to be down helping out the guys as much as possible. When you're sitting up there you see a lot of things and you get an extra buzz to see the fans from that perspective. I'm itching to get back and I'm liking where things are going so far."

Anyway came on, as I always do, to wish you guys a good and injury free game. Your team has not quit and usually plays to the will of your fans at home. Been watching Hockey for 40 years so I get a kick out of your home team support.

Cheers!

We NEED to win. We are out of the play-off spot again and have more games played than Washington and Florida. I am not expecting to win the southeast, my hopes lie with the 8th spot. The Islanders were winning 2-0 last night and ended up losing to the Capitals so that really screwed us.

Thanks for the classy response.

I for one am very happy to see the Panthers back in playoff contention and in a perfect world we would see both Florida and Winnipeg in the post-season with the Leafs finishing in 9th and once again missing the lottery.

Naturally we'll have differing opinions on this upcoming game as a win is needed by both sides, but as long as the Jets get into the playoffs I'll be on the side of Florida as well (if they're not playing each other of course).

IMO the Jets catching the Panthers for 1st in the division is most likely not going to happen. Not counting tonight's game the Jets are as little as 4 points and as much as 10 points (if the Panthers win all the games at hand) behind the Panthers. With 17 games left, that is pretty long odds.

Just do us a favor and beat Toronto and Washington the next time you play them. Deal?

Thanks for the kind words. Also, way to beat the Leafs last night! Narrows our 8th spot competition down a bit.

I have have long had FLA as one of my top teams (Big Weiss, Horton, Kulikov, Kopecky fan), glad to see them finally having a good season (I was/am a Kings fan since 2000, so I know how it feels to almost never seeing your team in the playoffs ).

That being said, the Jets need this win a helluva lot more than FLA . Go Jets!

Good question. Don't really know since Jet killer Versteeg isn't playing.

The Panthers have been fairly consistent all year and a lot of that comes from their depth. They rebuilt their team via free agency to reach the cap floor. A few solid signings and a couple good trades (Versteeg, Campbell)

Makes me wonder, if TNSE put some money to use this coming off-season targeting the likes of Parenteau, Gaustad, Grabovski, Moen, Jones or Tootoo that we'd have enough to keep up with them when the points are tougher to come by in January through March.

Seems we're just running out of gas right now and team depth can carry you during the lagging times.

Doubt Burke lets Grabovski slip away unless his contract demands are outlandish and while it's a nice thought, I doubt we'll be in the ball park for Parenteau. Some stupid GM will over pay Parenteau. Seeing as Ruuttu and Hemsky got 4.5 and 5 million I can see Parenteau easily getting that. Do the Islanders want to pay him that? Can they?

SORRY for veering slightly off topic here. Just seeing how the Panthers supplemented their roster through free agency got me thinking.

Best wishes tonight for some x-Jets.

Oduya for a big game and a big win over Toronto.
Teemu for multi goals in a big win over Buffalo.

First time in years that I would care about these games. Man, it's great to have the Jets back!

Ok, guys. We have heard all the inappropriate nicknames for the newest Jet.

Remember, there are women on this site who I am sure don't appreciate the humor, and media and maybe even Jets management and players visit this site. I don't think insulting players that are coming to town is a great way to greet them.

Thank you.
