Paajarvi Eligible for Oklahoma City Barons Playoff Run

i haven't seen this posted anywhere yet.... why did ppajarvi not get sent down? didn't he need to be sent to OKC today to be eligible for the AHL playoffs? has anybody heard the reasoning behind this one?

MOD EDIT: Tencer confirms via Stauffer that Oilers have made Paajarvi available for the Barons in the post-season.

I'm not sure what the rules are as he spent some time there already, but as far as I know, he wasn't send down.

He got sent down so he could be eligible for the AHL play-offs.

There's no more paper transactions, so he actually has to go/be going to OKC before he can be recalled.

it was a paper work thing to ensure they could use him for the playoffs

I thin jadeddog understands why, but he wonders if it actually happened. I haven't seen confirmation that it has either.

EDIT: Like clockwork DT...

he has to actually report. probably explains why he isnt playing tonight

this is why JFJ has tons of airmiles now (beginning of the season - 5 game suspension)

Very good, the Tre Kronor line can dominate the playoffs for OKC.

How does that work for Danis? He is not on the AHL roster as of TDD.

Yann Danis is up on injury recall this exempts him from the TDD rule.

Great for the Barrons and for MPS IMO. Very glad to hear this. Wonder if they'll have the sense to go with the Swedish connection line.

Simply a paper transaction. He'll be "recalled" tomorrow and probably play vs. St. Louis.

Maybe he missed his flight

At any rate, I'm not complaining.

Yeah, it was posted in the other thread.

"Players loaned to a minor league team must report (or be on their way) before a recall (back up). No "paper" movement."

ODH also posted something saying that clear day rosters don't have to be in until March 5th.
