http://www.stitchesny.com/

That company handles all the stitching for the Islanders, Knicks, Mets & a few other teams.

And remember, the original jersey used different colors & no names on the back then in later years

Is the jersey you bought from eBay authentic or replica/NHL Vintage collection?

Make sure to post front/back photos of your jersey after its customized.

Great Skate is good, but they're located 9-10 hrs away in Buffalo.

Closer to you would Gerry Cosby. Not in the Garden anymore, but nearby. Been years since I've used them, but they always did great work at there other location out on the Island (Westbury I believe, but closed now).

its a replica. curiously though looking at the pictures, i noticed its a ccm jersey, but with the CCM logo is on the back of the kneck, which is not consistent with the ones i have seen from other sellers on ebay. now the ones the islanders used for that one game in '08 were reebok and had the logo on the back of the neck?

can anyone shed any light on this?

Here's a pic of what they looked like in 72-73. they didn't have a CCM logo on the back. Scroll down towards the bottom of the page.
