He was the Leafs' leading scorer in the 1963–64, 1966–67 and 1969–70 seasons, and the team's top goal scorer in 1970–71 and 1972–73. Keon was considered one of the fastest skaters in the NHL, and one of the best defensive forwards of his era. He would usually play against the opposing team's top centre, and developed a reputation for neutralizing some of the league's top scorers. In 1970–71, he scored eight shorthanded goals, setting an NHL record.
This was an awesome game to watch and we have been playing very well as a whole, the bounces unfortunately aren't going our way and fun action back to back, but I am so glad we are losing. This team needs a fresh start, new system, new coach, and above all a very good high-end talent player top build around.
With a potential lottery pick this year and some garbage cleaned up in summer, we will most likely a see a playoff team very soon, maybe as soon as next year with a better coach and two-way system.
I hate losing above anything but this is one of the few good options at this moment as this team isn't any way shape or form is bound to make the playoffs this year and getting wilson fired would do a lot good for this team. If Burke doesn't want to fire wilson after this season is over then he can pack his bags and may as well leave the exit door.
