If I had to guess, Burke will once again come out and say he is not even considering a coaching change and is still confident this team can make the playoffs.
Who could be the new coach tho? I want Eakins. I really want Eakins,but with the playoffs coming up for the Marlies,I don't see them pulling Eakins out of there right now.

Highly doubt Wilson goes anywhere before the end of this season. If he is to be replaced, don't see MLSE taking Dallas away from all that he has done with the Marlies, and a potentially very good season for that club, and the experiences those players will draw from it. If Wilson is fired, Burke hires the best NHL coach available, bar none.
My best guess is Gordon takes over as interim and Eakins is given the job in the summer.

Media will take advantage of Toronto's hockey market at any chance they get, it's ridiculous. They blow everything out of proportion. Remember when this entire board did not want to accept the leafs will most likely not acquire Bobby Ryan... Getzlaf... OR Nash, yet people thought Burke should have because the media told them he's the savior (even more ridiculous). I think it also needs to realize Wilson is not getting fired. He's here to stay through thick and thin. Deal with it, stop using him as a scapegoat for poor performance. And by the way, if this team can get their **** together and get a string of 5 wins, they'll be right back in it. I personally think the Leafs can still make 8th. Burke will assess the team and the coach once the season and/or post season is complete. I guarantee you he's not making changes before then.

Monday he was interviewed on TSN and said he didnt expect any trades to happen, nothing was on the front burner or back burner. Almost immediately after the interview Gord Miller breaks the news that Aulie was traded.
Not going to happen...at least not until the end of the season. Berger is probably licking his chops at the thought of Wilson getting fired...the two of them don't get along at all.
Not a chance. Gordon is already the assistant coach- what difference would it make "bringing in" somebody who is already there to end the season? Not going to happen.
I'd love to see Eakins get a shot next season though. He seems like a great guy and a great coach. He'd definitely give the young guys a shot, and would not throw the boys under the bus (or in Reimer's case, park the bus on top of him).
Keep falling, draft Galchenyuk or Grigorenko (trade up if need be/ if possible) and let Eakins develop the kid in the NHL.
