He wasn't bad in his Habs debut... and I can't explain now nice it is to have a real tough guy on the Habs, even if he is a Wild reject for not being tough enough, lol.
...oh and he won a fight, by the way!! haha. He jumped in to avenge the linesman!!!
Yeah, Staubitz had gigantic shoes to fill coming in here. The shadow of Boogaard was still in this organization when he came here... he was also preceded by a guy like John Scott. And this season with Kassian waiting behind him (Kassian's debut 2 fight night was the end for stauby) Staubitz never really had a chance to be embraced here.
I hope he plays well in Montreal. I never really hated Staubitz, I just don't think he was a good enough of a fighter to justify accepting the bonehead penalties he took. I'm sure he'll be able to bully some of the teams in the northeast... especially buffalo.
