I agree with what you're saying, but I mean I doubt he's gonna make it to New York in time to actually play, regardless of whether they'd want him in tonight or not.

The postseason will start soon enough, and come April players like Scott are completely useless.

As I noted on the other board, 2 of those 3 pucks are from 2008

Thinking about Eric Boulton here. Why did Lou sign him for 2 years in the first place? Did the hat trick against us that night when he was with the Thrashers really impress him that much?

The only real letdown I've seen is that he usually can put up 8-10 points a season, and hasn't put up 1 yet this season. He was injured for over a month.

So why would they waive him? Who could they put on this roster by waiving him? I still don't see the point, because he wasn't even sent down!

Lou was probably also thinking "why did I sign him for two years" and thought maybe some team out there needed to get a little tougher for the playoffs and he could wash his hands of the rest of the contract...but....

I don't mind Boulton except for some nights where I feel I'm seeing a little too much of him. He doesn't seem to play at all in the 3rd period, and very little in the 2nd. Kovalchuk usually plays his spot most of the game. His cap hit don't bother me either, so I'm not questioning Lou like with a big money UFA we signed a few years back who we got less out of than some of the lower paid guys. Not gonna say his name it's too played out.
