Is that really true? I kind of have the impression that for every bad article/blogpost about Omark there are two good ones... Copper&Blue, Edmonton sun, edmonton journal, etc. most say that he's a legit NHL player and (for example) that a trade would have to be for another legit NHL player... Many of them also say that he should/could already be up palying with the Oilers while others say that unfortunately he's "unlucky" due to the fact that we have Hemmer/Ebs in the org and that's why he is not already in the line-up...

With regards to fans, I really think you are exaggerating but we've had this argument before... Most fans are in between pro/anti, i.e. they have patience but obviously want him to show that he's worthy. Then we have the few anti and the few pro (you for example) both of which are still the minority, which is as it should be.

Play Omark and Barker and probably MPS. Front office wants to evaluate.
If this was true why did they send MPS down yesterday?

So he is eligible for the AHL Play offs That is why he went down but, That being said I dont agree with the thought that he is being assessed.

I don't think so. So why not send him down the WPG game? Something ended up be wonky there.

Its been well documented and stated. He needed to be there on Trade deadline day to be eligible. There was no need to send him down before Monday. In fact if you look down a few thread you will see a whole topic on it.

I know all about that, but he wasn't sent down until yesterday. Trade deadline was Monday and he was in the pressbox.

On paper he was sent down Monday but he also has to physically report to OKC not just a paper transfer. Im not sure why you are questioning this, as there really is no other reason for it, but in the end we will never know for 100% as we are not in the OILERS office.

Because I think this is more than just a quick report.

I'd like to see MPS/Lander/Omark on a line together for a few games. I was hoping the Oilers would have tried that experiment a little in the NHL but down in OKC is a good place to try as well. You have to think there'd be some natural synergy/chemistry there that's at least worth trying to tap.

So if the 3 Swedes light it up together and lead OKC to the Calder Cup title, how can you not have that line up here next year???

Hall-Eberle-RNH
Smyth-Gagner-Hemsky
Eager-Horcoff-Jones
MPS-Lander-Omark
Belanger

You probably can't have that line here if their success(that you are anticipating) in the aHL doesn't translate to the NHL.

By posting in this thread we're giving meaning and adspace to Jason Gregor, ya know? Best thing to do might be to just let this guy fade into oblivion before his career grows to BHallsian proportions (ie, outlives it's usefulness by a few decades).
