Never caught that, thanks.

Might not be popular, but I'd like to see DD start tomorrow. See how he rebounds after a horrible game like that. With that being said, he lets a goal in the first 3 minutes he gets pulled.

I like the lines. Smyth doesn't have the energy for 60 minutes with the kids. Petrell should be interesting in the top 6. We just need a big body like him that can keep up with the kids, provide physicality and space. Not sure if his hands are good enough though, as the play may just die on his stick. Hopefully he crashes the net hard when entering the zone to draw in defenders.

MPS should currently be our 2nd line left winger.

The team desperately needs some grit and sandpaper in the top 6.
Petrell isn't a long term solution but I like the thought process.

My hope was that maybe Hartikainen would be that player but that projection may not be fair as he is likely better suited to a bottom 6 spot.

Agreed. I'm not sure why he wasn't called back up as soon as possible to be back in the top 6.

Maybe one day if he can add more grit to his game.

Agreed. I was really hoping that Harti would make some strides and be that guy this year as well.

I like Petrell on that line. He's been playing well and deserves it. Plus, he should be able to make some room and go hard to the corners to retrieve the puck. Here's hoping Nuge can get him to unleash that cannon he's got

He played really well there before the trade deadline. A few more years of evaluating and hopefully Renney and Tambellini will know what they have in term of players.

Hitchcock said that his time with Team Canada really helped him be able to evaluate players quickly and design a plan to suit them best. Why is it that Tambellini and Renney are so poor at this. They have been involved many times with team Canada.

No 3rd or 4th line player should be given top two line time 'because he works hard and deserves it." this is MacT like thinking. I like petrell, no way he should be onthe top two line,s

I like Petrell, but can he really sustain a cycle? because that's what those guys need. maybe he'll show us some finnish when he's given good feeds - we know he's got a decent release.

He can win puck battles and has a cannon for a shot. He'll be a better fit there than you think

Those lines will be better than last game. Can help Hopkins win back the rookie scoring lead.

It has worked wonders for Vancouver with Burrows. To be a championship caliber team you need to have a few guys that can play on a line that is above their talent ability.

Al least Renney can recognize that the Oilers are really lacking grit in the top 6 and is willing to give a guy a shot who has been playing well and has never had a chance to show he can/cant be a 2nd line winger.
