Ok with the finalizing of the roster. I have 2 line combinations...one is what I think will happen in this game. The other is what I'd personally like to try.
This game:
SK - Fisher - Erat Wilson - Legwand - Yip
Tootoo - Spaling - Hornqvist
Halischuk - Smith - Bourque
What I'd like to try soon:
Erat - Fisher - Wilson
SK - Legwand - AK
Tootoo - Smith - Hornqvist
Halischuk - Gaustad - Spaling
Wilson is a lefty, like Erat. Why not keep Erat on the right and Wilson on the left?
I love Goose and Toots together, but Wilson certainly is an odd choice.
I told hipcheck85 last night that Tootoo Wilson and Gaustad should play together. Tootoo and Wilson have shown a ton of chemistry that for whatever reason Spaling doesn't seem to capitolize on. Actually if it were my choice Spaling would sit and watch a bit, everyone else seems to be producing more than him lately.

I'd be ok with Spals sitting Saturday provided Goose is healthy enough to take his place.
id prefer a line of toots gaustad halischuk/bourque/spaling
keep the guys with actual top 6 talent on our team (which is rare) playing with other talented guys. our bottom 6 is good enough to keep it balanced without the wilson's, smith's, etc..

while I agree, I'm thinking playoffs.. I dont see a tootoo gaustad wilson line being too effective. wilson has shown so much skill to be paired with toots and gaustad, I feel it hinders him. throw chemistry out the door. I also think the chemistry between toots and wilson is more of wilson being that good with the puck on the boards and gaining the zone
Seems like Wilson-Gaustad-Tootoo could be one of those 3rd lines that does incredible things in the playoffs. Spaling works in there too, really it's just been Wilson-Tootoo getting the production, just hard working, body banging, pucks to the net type of production. Don't mess with that, it's unlikely to come from any other tandem.
AK needs to be with one of Erat, SK, or Wilson else we're just wasting his talent IMO. This team is running too thin on playmakers to use Wilson on the 3rd line with a couple of grinders (even though I would really enjoy that line).

like I said.. we're low enough on top 6 talent. why waste one of the few we have by playing with tootoo and gaustad? ..
