i have 2 full season tickets in sec 203 row 14, this is my 4th year having them. i don't go to every game, there's no way my wife would let me, haha. what i do is split the cost of the tickets evenly into 10 "slots". each "slot" guarantees you 4 pairs of tickets. then i do a fantasy-style ticket draft via email to determine who gets each game. i have 1 slot for myself and i split a slot with my dad, so that's at least 8 games i go to each year, and that comes out to just over $500 for me cost-wise.
I guess I should have worded it better. If I got a season ticket it would be a single seat. If I wanted to go to a game with my wife or a buddy I would have them buy a ticket but I wouldn't be able to sit with them because I'm sure their ticket wouldn't be the seat next to mine.

Seems to me... and I understand that this is much easier said than done... you would be best off finding a person in the same boat as you (wanting a single seat for the season) and partnering with him/her... In that case you could each attend what you want and sell off whatever you want/can, and if you each want to go with a wife or buddy for a specific game you could sell the seat to the other... or swap it for a future single that the other would want to attend with someone.
... There has to be another person who wants to go stag and is budgeting for your seat range... the trouble is finding him/her.

I really don't know what this has to do with my question about club box seats being worth it
all I wanted to know was if they were worth the money if I could get some tickets off of stub hub for $100-$150
We sit where the Flyers shoot twice and I would be totally pissed if they bumped us up and lowered the cost for the 1X people... not a fan of the uneven rate hikes. BTW, what do they do with the people with the desirable Center Ice seats? Maybe they keep them the same and raise the 2X and reduce the 1X sections... they can do it on a seat by seat basis like they did with their row by row restructuring of last season.
If they were still with Ticketmaster and TM's view seat by seat availability, they just might have done that! I also hope they don't do the 1x/2x variable upstairs in the future but my guess is if they ditch the row by row another year, they'll do 1x/2x instead. Adding that on top of row by row would be a mess! Next season will be my second year as a full STH but I've had at least a partial seat anywhere from 204A to 209 since the lockout.

I don't know if there really is a general statement about what's included other than having the private bathroom. A friend won a pair of club box tix through the Flyers several years ago and it wasn't a catered box.
I have some experience with a single seat - I technically still have a single seat since I wanted to control my payments and keep my slight edge in seniority, but a friend of mine has had a seat next to me since last year for partials and now for full tix this year and next. From my experience when it was only me with a partial ticket, it can be hard to sell off a single for a game you can't make (I've given away a ticket on here before on a few occasions) but occasionally you can sell it to someone just like yourself who only needs one seat.
I'm happy with the arrangement I currently have and wouldn't have been able to afford a full season otherwise. Both my friend and I have separate accounts (pros include both getting STH gifts and perks per account, cons would include not being able to sit together for the Winter Classic) in adjacent seats and we have friends who buy the other half of the season from us. We sat down before the start of the season, divided the tickets, and then in case of a conflict during the year, have been able to trade a game back in exchange for another. I haven't looked at it yet but the move to StubHub for reselling might benefit us if there's a game none of the 4 of us can make since we might be able to package together both seats rather than being stuck with two separate listings as we would have with Ticket Marketplace.
We did luck out on StubHub and actually find the seats next to us available for the LA Kings game early in the season. Unfortunately they beat us up there but the plan was to surprise our friends when they got to our shared seats.

I think it's worth it to try it at least once.... I've sat in the Club Box and Luxery Boxes a few times. It's great because you get your own waiter, bar area, (not sure if that specific to either box its been a season and im brain dead.)
Big thing in my opinion is you get your own bathroom so you don't have to rush to get there between intermissions.
EDIT: If your on the fence, try for a game that's not gonna be super in demand, like a panthers game or carolina, they seem to be more available and cheaper.

I have 2 in 211 Row 8 right behind that railing on the aisle seats. I've had them for a few years now, and have been pretty happy with them. This may be my last season though, selling tickets is tough, unless your willing to part with the premier games, which is the whole reason I have these tickets to begin with. I'd love to find a group of guys to split the seats with next year, just so I can continue to carry them year by year. The price increases are just getting pretty brutal, up 20 bucks a game from 2 years ago.
I didn't jump on the early bird benefits this year, I'm going to make my decision on the final deadline day, which is April 25th I was told by my rep. I love how the deadline for next year is before the NHL Playoffs are even over.
Im 204 row 8 behind the railing. I LOVE where I sit. Being a bigger guy, having the aisle and no one in front of you lets me literally spread out and almost sit like a lounge chair.
My father and I have had a variety of knee and ankle issues over the past 5 years, and having the ability to flex your legs is pretty much a requirement (I have a phillies plan and I sell almost every game because Im inthe middle of the row).
Someone commented earlier about liking to be upstairs to see plays develop, and Im completely on board with that. Being I played for years, I love the game, I like seeing the plays develop. I've sat downstairs here and there, its ok, I snuck down during the last Bruins game and you really get a sense for how big they are haha.
The STH event are ok at best, I talk to my rep regularly, and I've written some pretty candid emails to them regarding some stuff, and basically, everyone complains. Raise prices - complain. Lines too long at meet and greet - complain. Winter Classic? - complain. I do feel for the guy, and I understand business, so I try to keep things relatively light with him and never whine about something unless I have a suggestion how to make it better.
That said, I think the best seats in the house are in the club boxes. I like the private bar, private bathrooms, and the seats are larger. We scored 4 tickets for Club 22 with free beer and food for $140 each the day of the game in '10 in the playoffs against montreal. Suffice to say, we each made the most of that opportunity.
I split my season 50/50 with a friend of mine. I keep it as fair as I can, I got WC, he got the other rangers games and both bruins games, etc. (FYI they have lost every game he has been to since last season). He may buy the seats next to me now, as the guy isnt renewing, which sucks, because we all have a lot of fun and are generally in the same age group (30's). In which case I have a friend lined up to take 10 games off me next season.
Not sure where I was going, but that sums up my experience.
If anyone would like to split season tickets with me, let me know! I have been a STH for the past 4 years. I travel a LOT and it's hard for me to make all of the games. I sit in section 211, row 10.
I'd be willing to split all games up fairly (even number of weekend games and premium games).
Tickets are $47.00 each (Face is $93.50 I believe). We generally get 41 games a season, plus 3 preseason games. This comes out to $4230 total. I'm looking for a straight split of $2115 for half of the tickets.
If anyone wants to talk more details, send me a PM.
Sitting downstairs is really aweseome if you are within the first 5-10 rows off the ice..
I sat a few games in the 2nd row and it was great.. Wouldn't pay the price for those tickets.. but still awesome
That's funny, I personally think the lower the row the worse the seat to see the game.
I like sitting higher the best, of course not the seats that are next to the roof but the first row of the upper deck are the ones I like the most.
Not 'Snob'... 'Realist'... Sitting down low is the best to see the hitting and grunt-work, the play around the crease and nearby board-work, close checking and dirty/sneaky stick-work, etc. ... But it IMO is best for a game here and there. To me the place to be for a vast majority of a season is higher up... and yes, front rows of the Mezzanine, between the face-off circles, is a great location. Cost savings aside, you have a better view of a greater area rather than a better view of a limited area and horrible view of much of the rink not immediately in front of you. When you sit down front in front of the one goal, the view down the dashers is not very good and often obstructed by the people between you and the action... especially when they all lean forward to see past the others leaning forward... and there is the players benches and penalty boxes to block you view as well. While higher up you see all that is not obstructed by the boards and as I said in an earlier post, and seconded in this thread, you can see plays develop... and you see better 'off the puck' play. This is all at a more affordable price to boot. Down low seats are fun but you have to go home to watch the Comcast TV re-airing to see what actually happened in the game.
ok guys, now not sure if they will be a lockout sept 15 the NHL labor issue will have to be resolved.
The season is over, was a good year. the best part overall was seeing alot of our new players get experience. this team wild dominate in a year or 2.
I just sent in the rest of my balance owed. They did put me on the 9 month pay plan interest free. But i just paid it and its over with. wasn't bad only had to pay 1516.00 they already had a depsoit.
so I'm ready, i just hope we have hockey next year. and I hope to meet some of you at the summer party they have. I wonder if they will have it at xfinity live this year or at the pavlion
I just got my first 'real' job after college and was wondering what the payment plans like...i'm guessing like 200 a month for 9 months for upper level seats? I'll probably wait a year to save some money but that's well worth it if that's the case.

It all depends. I love sitting in the Balcony Suites, and can be had for pretty cheap on Stub Hub during the season. I picked up 2 tickets for $59.00 against the Caps, and 3 for $99.00 against the Penguins. These were both day of the game. Balcony has 12 seats and bar stools. Perks are private bathroom and larger seats.
Luxury Suites, nice, not as much room, still have the private bathroom. Closer to the ice.
Club boxes - Private bathroom and a bar available. It seems the season ticket holders who sell these on SH already have the $25 food included in price of ticket which is pretty cool and it goes towards food or drinks. Also if your seats are in the middle of the row, you can sit on the bar stools above the last row of seats.

well the flyers rep who signed me up had it broken like this
overall the price for me was 1716.00 he put me on the 9 month plan interest free. i put 200 down to start, he also said that would count as the first month, May is month 1.
so he had me scheduled from June - January at 189.50 each.
but I just decided to pay it off, I didn't have to but I just wanted pay it off.
