If only we had another White on the team. If anyone messes with a teammate, he's right there to stick up for them. Loved watching him pound on Veilleux after his slashing Price.
I am tired of watching Les Boys take a meek and passive stance on this stuff. Our PP is nothing to fear, so may as well throw a couple haymakers when the situation warrants it to make the other guy think twice before pulling some goon tactics of their own.
Yeah he is a beauty, his post game comments saying " a team that sticks up for one another wins together" is so true. Wish he went about the pounding of Veilleux after the slash but it is the right idea just a touch over the top.
Man, i almost felt bad for Veilleux after I saw him wack Price's glove, it feels sooooo good being the aggressor once in a while. If White can practice his faceoffs and pk skills we could have a heck of a 4th liner in our hands. A Moen-White combo NEEDS do happen ASAP.
This.
Playing the way he does is very demanding on the body... he NEED to add other elements to his game so he can keep playing games even when his body is telling him to go easy (so to speak).
There's a reason guys like Neil, Clarkson and co are lasting (and in demand) in this league... they have something more than their fighting skills...
they either can put 20+ pts on the board, are solid defensively or are amngst the best in FO (Gaustad for example)...
This guy is a beast. Hopefully before the end of the season he can be surrounded with Moen, along with Staubitz and keep Noks, or Blunden in the lineup. Good physicality and players who aren't afraid to stand up for themselves and teammates.
You should see the hate for White on hockeyfight.com hahah Bruins fans think he is a dirty player and he don't respect the code Thornton always respect the code... I remember the game he jumped on Mike Weber for an interferance penalty on Pouliot...
White is awesome. It's so fun to watch players like that !
With our new tandem White/Staubitz, I have to admit that I don't miss Moen one bit.

Maybe Anaheim's Moen will come to us at last with those other two taking some of the workload off of him.

And good. The only people that actually 'respect the code' are ineffectual goons who do nothing but fight staged fights against one another. Of course Bruins fans hate him. He's not on their team, if he was they'd be fine with it. McQuaid is the same. If he thinks someone needs punching then he'll punch him.
I seen people say this a lot and don't really see where it comes from. What do people think Moen used to do with Anaheim that he doesn't do now?
He fights more often in Anaheim. But he had Parros with him so with Staubitz and White here, maybe Moen will be more active. Just like last year when we called up White and traded for Mara, he began to fight more often.

Will be interesting to see if Cherry mentions White on Coaches Corner this Saturday
He mentions him 2 weeks ago and a couple of time last year. He is his type of player

He was never a exceptionally prolific fighter in Anaheim though, nine fights in a regular season was the most he had with the Ducks and that's only one more than last season in Montreal.

Carey Price has been a constant target for other teams, and no one did a thing about it. The media complained the Habs were soft. The Wild are bumping into Price every time they get a chance, whacking him with their sticks for mythological loose pucks in the crease. Ryan White goes after Veilleux who was chopping away, and Chamond from le JdM says "White attacks Veuillex who did not even have time to drop his gloves."
?
Wasn't this what Laraque was widely criticized for? For being too polite and waiting for opponents to accept his "fax"? On the CTV pre game news Gagnon even made a joke referencing the "faxing". But when someone does not wait for a ok from the opponent's mommy to instill some respect for fellow Habs team mates, White gets criticized?
Was it because it was Veuilleux? A dude with a french name? I hope not.

More media crying: CJAD's poll question:
Do you like the "new" physical Habs?
No. This is the CH, not "Goon." They gonna add Laraque and Stiffler next?
Yes. It's about sticking up for one another. Even Beliveau had "Fergy."
Goon hockey?????
The media is guilty of being hypocritical and trying to make news instead of report it, once again.
