Tiger Woods is a really big player. Him and Joe Thornton. Thornton to win a cup, and Woods to keep his Woods in his pants (though that doesn't matter anymore because his ass is single!).
You can start with every starting quarterback in the NFL, and QB's for every major college.
They don't call it Monday Morning Quarterback for nothing.
European football goalkeepers too.
Some European soccer players and some NFL/college quarterbacks have it far worse than Carey Price does, although, admittedly, only the cream of all three categories could.
Which is worse, being booed 35 times a year (assuming Price plays 35 games in Montreal out of 41) by 21,000 people or 6-8 times a year (if backup quarterbacks are given 1-4 starts anyway) by 60,000+ people?
Carey Price is one of the top-5 in the NHL for the player under the most pressure.
What barometer are you using, and what is the reading? Heck, even just within the Habs I'd say Gomez is under more pressure - and certainly more scrutiny.
tony romo is without a doubt the person with the most pressure in all of sports...
I see it a bit differently. What's more pressure? Being a QB that people are expecting you to choke, and what is only expected of you is to lead your team to the playoffs, and maybe get a win or two at this point.
Or be the QB (see TFB) in that if you don't win a SB, you're considered past your prime and a choke job. That if you're not near perfect night-in, night-out questions arise about your game. You are at the top of teams lists to study on how to beat, so you know you have to be at your best always.
Its the same for a guy like Roger Federer. He created a monster in that if he wasn't winning every single Grand Slam final, there were questions about his game. That every tennis player had to train and strategize to beat him. That they change the playing surfaces on many courts to give other players a better chance to win, and when they do, questions are asked about your game....
Tony Romo you are right on it. These Cowboys fans are a lot to handle.
Mark Sanchez too...Joe Flacco.. well every QBs in the NFL.
Adam Vinatieri back in the days.
LeBron James
Tiger Woods
Roger Federer maybe ?
Carey Price or any Goalie playing for MTL and any QB playing for 49ers and COwboys thats it I think. Maybe some players for the Yanks
When you have to fill the shoes of great ones or best of all times... (Haynesworth, Plante, Dryden, Roy..) I mean, Joe Montana, Steve Young... When Brady will retire the player to replace him will have lot of pressure. Andrew Luck replacing Manning next year too.. These Cowboys fans still looking for AIkmen successor but lets look at Romo stats, the guy plays great. His defensive backs let him down year after years. Their pass defense sucks each time. You can't play pressure scheme and man to man coverage with these corners. Adjust your gameplan Rob Ryan! or sign FA CBs or draft some
