I'm from SC and I'm coming up to Nashville the day of the Red Wings game (March 10). Anybody have an estimate how much I'll have to pay to get tickets-from scalpers or whoever- outside the arena before the game? Thanks!

tickets can range from 10 bucks (prolly not for a wings game tho) all the way up to whatver you are willing to give a scalper. Just depends how much you trying to spend/where you want to sit. . .
its really hit and miss.... for a guaranteed sellout they will try to make you pay well over face until right at game time, then the price will come down, if they haven't already sold everything they have.
my advice is if you're coming all that way don't take a chance on not having seats... get some off ticket exchange and be sure...
Call the season-ticket people when they open. Say you just want tickets for that game, tell them where you want them and get them at face value from them. They'll leave them at will call and you won't have to rush to get a ticket.
The other thing I do is wait till the 1st period is about 5 minutes into it while I watch at the bar across the street..then I walk over to a scalper and offer him 5 bucks per ticket...generally they know it's over and they give em to me for real cheap...but you have to be willing to miss warm-ups and part of the game.
I'd recommend trying ticket exchange first, then the other secondary market sites. Scalpers will have some available, but, at a premium and there's no telling how long they'll have any on hand. It will be a full barn so waiting until heading into downtown to get tix is a risky proposition.
Giving dirt bag scalpers money is just not the way to go. Saturday night vs. Detroit would be a jacked up price. Ticket exchange would be the way to go.
Last Sat game vs San Jose was sold out and the asking price on stubhub and other sites was around 50+ for top upper deck in the corners and 120+ for anything in the midde 100 and 200 section. I got a ticket from a scalper before the game section 207 in the suite level for 60.

All the stub hubs and razor gators of the world have tickets for about double what you're talking for this game. So maybe perfect deductive logic will work and I'll get section 200's for 120. I'd be really happy with that.
fngtickets has seats available for 79-245 depending on where you're looking to sit (high upper bowl to 3 rows off the glass). Just one more frame of reference.

But then again, they also buy up a lot of tickets that might not sell during bad times at the box office. I look at scalping as a double-edged sword in that regards. While I don't use them and have season tix, they also do provide guaranteed sales for the team/venue and assume the risk that the event could fall flat. The other option if you decide to go down the scalper route of buying after the game starts is to get down early to the Bridge an be in line for the $10 ticket lottery at 9:30AM (http://predators.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=612589). At 10AM they draw 27 numbers and the first 25 are guaranteed up to 4 tickets @$10/each w/ the remaining two that can get tickets if any remain. These tickets are scattered singles generally but get you in the door if you really want to see the game.
If you don't mind standing buy the cheapest tickets you can find there's a standing area above our attack twice end.
Ive only seen these tix for sale once and it was to a Saturday night game vs the Blackhawks. How do you get these tix and is the standing area in that new open area they put in this year?

They aren't specific tickets. Just an area above the 318 area that had the wall cut out.

Don't overpay these fools just scalping.
You are correct, sir. Just checked out the ticketexchange website and it is the best by far. Thanks to everyone for the help. I'm about to make my purchase.
I've got two for tonight available. I can't go thanks to a grade 3 hamstring strain. They're aisle seats in section 202 row F. Face value with sth discount is over $100 for the pair. Just looking to move them at this point, I'll take best offer.
