On JVR's injury. You only get x-amount of call ups after the trade deadline, and the AHL Clear Day is March 5. So, we're probably going to have to deal with Jody Shelley at least for one game.

Oh I agree. Huge Timonen fan. But honestly, how many 38 or so yr olds get paid big money? I think he would sign just to get a chance to win the cup (if he thinks the Flyers can do it). Also him and Hartnell are really good friends, I can see him staying instead of moving around when he is going to retire soon. I just look at the past signings, and cant see many if any teams signing a 38 yr old to big money.

I do think he might go back to Finland and finish up his hockey career there.

Timonen at 38, for what's going to be out there and how much they'd get paid, will be worth it.


He'll be SM-liiga caliber into his 40's.
