Carlyle is the replacement.

Burke has said that he couldn't believe that RC was available.

I agree with Burke. Dean ****ed up again by passing over Carlyle and hiring terry 2.0.

carlyle would have wanted his own assistants and abandon our joke of a system, so he was never on DL's list.

I mean I guess that we might have tried to nab RC, who knows but one thing for certain is that if we wanted him we could have gotten him.

We had a coach when Tippers was available but I would have fired him for DT's.

Oh well.

I can dream of my balanced attack happening some day.

We should have replaced underachieving Murray with a coach who was fired because he was underachieving with Ducks?

A post-lockput cup winning coach who has a balanced system. I would would have gone with a new, young coach. But Carlyle > Sutter.

What has Sutter done? Made the offense worse?

There were plenty of better choices ahead of Sutter. Carlyle was just one of them.

As far as Tippett goes, I would have asked Murray if he would step down to assistant coach and hire Tippett.

???? Carlyle...Murray...Sutter they are all the same coach....I also love how you bring up the "post-lockout cup"...did you watch that team? The very definition of a "pre-Lockout" team. Grind Grind Grind snag a goal, shut it down with the Pahlson/Moen/Neids line and what ever they didn't cover Pronger and better Neids took care of.

Last three years: 15th, 7th and 11th in offense.

I also said I wouldn't have hired either one, but Carlyle is still a better choice than Sutter.

Let's wait and see who will be more successful with his new team.

Which roster would you rather have? Which roster should be more successful?

That Dallas/Edmonton first period was among the most boring I've watched all year...and I watch all of our games.

Even the Dallas guys were openly mocking how bad it was.

They said the coaches should both brew up some coffee and place it in the middle of the room and tell them to wake the **** up.

So many whistles with nothin' happenin' in between.

Still hope the oilers can win at home.

Iginla is smart, he has the helmet glued to his skin, so that there is no way he loses it during a fight.
