Chicago played a very good road game, Emery was there to make key saves and the Sens missed some good opportunities. They were inconsistent during that game, particulary in the 2nd period where they were outplayed.
My stream crapped out on the first goal but the second goal was a bit iffy with the blatant interference on Smith...
Still the way the Sens played in the second, I can't say we deserved the win. Good effort in the third but still came quite short of what they needed to do get the W.
Turris is ineffective: it was to be expected that he would fade down the stretch after a hot start with us. This considerably hampers the team's effectiveness in the offensive zone: the second line can't do much if he's not playing well.
Lehner was solid. It's not uncommon to have players playing really well at first (see above mention of Turris): happy he's doing well but with goalies, maybe even more than other positions, consistency is the defining charateristic that you look for to win. I want to see him play this well for a while before I'd say I'm happy with him staying up in Ottawa.
