Just a pretty sloppy game all around.

Poor coverage in the D zone and no battles won on the boards.

Nobody chasing the puck on the dump and chase in the O zone.

One bad period, that is all it takes, some good lessons to be learned today. Emery really was bailed out by his D they stopped a lot of shots. Lehner deserved better.

Terrible game. Sens couldn't make a pass, and when they had chances....they aimed at Emery's pads.

Oh well, can't win them all. At least it was vs a Western team

Chicago played a very good road game, Emery was there to make key saves and the Sens missed some good opportunities. They were inconsistent during that game, particulary in the 2nd period where they were outplayed.

Just too bad

Couldn't capitalize on anything, took stupid penalties, and just looked like a mess all around.

Yup, deserved the loss.

Turris is like a split-second late on about every play out there. What has happened to the guy. This is when his game was suppose to be going up after missing all of training camp.

Instead he was lights out early and BAD now.

Chicago played a great defensive game tonight, didn't give the Sens much room to operate.

My stream crapped out on the first goal but the second goal was a bit iffy with the blatant interference on Smith...
Still the way the Sens played in the second, I can't say we deserved the win. Good effort in the third but still came quite short of what they needed to do get the W.

Turris is ineffective: it was to be expected that he would fade down the stretch after a hot start with us. This considerably hampers the team's effectiveness in the offensive zone: the second line can't do much if he's not playing well.

Lehner was solid. It's not uncommon to have players playing really well at first (see above mention of Turris): happy he's doing well but with goalies, maybe even more than other positions, consistency is the defining charateristic that you look for to win. I want to see him play this well for a while before I'd say I'm happy with him staying up in Ottawa.

Well they played 20 minutes this home game. They only have one line that scores with any regularity. When they and the D (meaning Karlsson) don't score 3 or more goals most of the time they lose.

Gotta give credit where its due...Chicago has speed to burn....they have tremendous puck control and their D is solid...

Foligno, Smith, Condra, Greening, et all are always gonna struggle against a team like Chicago with the way Chicago can skate against our forecheck

Guys have to learn to bring their game to another level when we play good teams. Tonight we let Chicago walk all over us at home, maybe the win against Boston went to their heads, not impress at all.

Chicago wasn't walking all over the Sens, it was the Hossa line owning the Turris line cuz McLean was insistent in matching those lines which backfired hard.

When he got away from it late in the 2nd, Sens took over.

We deserved the loss. But this team learns from their mistakes. And that's why they're in a spot that no one expected them to be in.
