Great news! I just read that he left in the 2nd period so I was just under that assumption.

Hope they can build on these and get back to winning.

This has to be sarcasm, right?

I'm not sure how one could have such a hard on to hate on someone who is the hands down hardest worker on the team.

No one was bad. Says a lot about how poorly Capitals played. Moose, Zubrus and Greene were the best players on the ice IMO. Andy MF Greene sent Ovechkin flying! Can you imagine? Crazy.

Not hurt, probably got his tooth knocked off and almost chocked on it.

We've witnessed 3 hat tricks in our past 4 games.

Greene isn't any more physical which is why we're all shocked at the hit...

To be fair, I didn`t expect him to. I don`t think anybody did.

Never been a fan of either, but Greene has really surprised me so far this year. Good for him.

Zubrus seemed embarrassed he did a somersault: "I need to tone it down. I got overexcited. It had been a while."

too much pregame espresso from Cafe Zubie

i was never a big fan of martin when he was here... i reluctantly cheered him during his tenure. lou made a good choice to let him walk.

Parise ended the Capital's 224 regular season games streak of not allowing a hat trick (which was the longest current NHL streak).

Really don`t want to rain on the parade, but considering they play like trash this year, not so much.

Whatevs, we all are very happy for Zach. Hopefully the 1st line keeps collecting the points. Devils (every team actually) go as far as their stars go.

I`ll sleep like a baby tonight.

Night.

Bout time they got their act straightened out! But it's one game only, I'm looking forward to seeing how they'll handle the Isles on Sunday and the Rags on Tuesday.

Hedberg needs to play more. Inexplicable that he hasn't played more this season.

Kovalchuk also needs to wake up and start scoring some goals for this team. It's a crucial time of the year. He's gone scoreless now for how many games?

They've always had a pretty bad defense/goalie. Of all the teams in NHL to carry that streak, I think I would've had them last.

Even with how Washington has been playing this season, they still haven't given up a hat-trick in their prior 63 games. Also take into account a few years back when they had a run and gun system so I think it is a rather impressive stat.

Looking forward or unconciously waiting for them to fall so you can point out how this team sucks? I`m sorry, but that`s exactly how most of your posts come off.

As long as he keep creating them, it`s all good. Almost bought one today. No reason to be concerned yet.

My man! Love to hear that.

Islanders smell like a trap game to me, hopefully they use it as a spring board game to give them momentum into the Rags game. If we beat the fishsticks 2 times next week, i'll be more than happy. 5 Points out of the 8 next week are fine in my book. Anything extra is gravy
